Bed was super comfortable. I like the toiletries provided. Breakfast was good too...a really wide variety of options. The hot chocolate for breakfast was excellent.
Minor details but at breakfast what was labelled as fig compote was actually prunes, the smell of jet fuel was probably unavoidable, but was a bit queasy making, and it would have been nice if the direct access tunnel had been open. Very minor issues, I will stay again.
Good service in the restaurant and nice breakfast
Monorail can be heard through the windows
I found this to be the best hotel near an airport I have ever stayed in, and for the reason you would not assume. We never heard a plane take off or land this added to the closeness of the airport I give this hotel 5 stars.
Big room, quiet, great access to airport
Too hot and air con was too noisy
Convent for travelers
Located in the airport. Although I was flying out of the south terminal and this hotel is in the north terminal, it took just a few minutes to get to my terminal.
Waiting time to get food in the restaurant was 45minutes. There were open tables but did not appear to have adequate staff.
Perfect overnight before a long flight
Staff were friendly. Room very clean. Beds comfortable, not sagging in my middle as some are. Excellent location for Gatwick airport travellers. Good restaurants. Priced reasonably.
They view! But cannot help that. But the large windows were nice.
Great hotel to stay in if you're flying out from Gatwick. I have stayed a couple of times. Very clean quiet & comfortable. 4 restaurants to choose from and a bar.
Service in the lobby bar was very poor both times I have stayed, which is a shame, it's a great place for a drink. It wasn't busy but the staff pay no attention to the customers sitting down and congregate around the bar or walk past avoiding eye contact
There wasn't anything not to like. We arrived at 7.00 pm and left at 5.00 a.m.
Did not like the restaurant. We booked a table and the food was not up to the standard we would have expected.
Ease and access to airport
The location is excellent.
Staff were efficient but a little arrogant. Problems connecting to the internet in the room. The connection was very slow. The location of the room safe at floor-level is ridiculously inconvenient. The safe did not work. I'll try the Hilton next time.
The lovely atrium and the easy access to Gatwick airport together with helpful and friendly staff.
The Softel is less than five minutes walk from the Gatwick check-in desks via a slopped covered walkway. The staff were efficient and the atmosphere throughout warm and friendly. An excellent place to spent the before an early flight, I would definitely stay again.
location was why I selected this hotel. location was excellent
location to the terminal
restaurant was expensive
The best part was the access to the airport which allowed us to wake up and check in easily. The location was fantastic and the staff were very very helpful. Will definitely use this hotel everytime i am flying out of gatwick.
