One young person in the staff was very nice, but only her. The location is excellent. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast was marvelous.
We stayed a second night and there was only an expensive room which had more space but was no beautiful, and it was in front a the bar and was very noisy. The staff did not advice us of that situation.
Quaint historic hotel with rooms in various old buildings. The bedrooms are all a bit different, but the the facilities (bathroom, lights, TV etc) are all up-to date. Breakfast was very good in modern facility
Hard to say!
The location is great.
The beds were not comfortable and were sagging in the middle, the apartment is 2 buildings behind the hotel looking over the car park and garbage cans. We each got 1 bath towel for our entire stay, and one dish towel. Even though there was a sign on the bathroom mirror saying that if you wanted your towels changed you could leave them on the floor, no one even checked. When I mentioned it at the desk she said we had to phone to get towels. They should take the sign down. We either needed more soap cubes for the dishwasher or more dishes. There is a privacy issue in the kitchen in that people going to the other apartment look right in the kitchen window as they pass
Great location. Very good breakfast. Easy parking. Big bathroom. Goslar is beautiful.
Stairs - but then it is an old historic building
It is a historic building with all the modern amenities...loved the little courtyard and pub.
Set in 2 historic buildings in Goslar’s Old Town, this charming 4-star hotel offers a garden, a library and an inviting breakfast room. It is a short walk from the marketplace and the Goslar Imperial Palace. Free WiFi access, free mineral water and cable TV are provided in all rooms at the Hotel Alte Münze. Some rooms feature antique furniture, stone walls and extra-long beds. A large breakfast buffet is available in the oldest part of the building, which dates back to 1509. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge with library, or can take a seat in the pretty courtyard garden. Many restaurants are within a short walk. Mönchehaus Museum is just a 3-minute walk away, and Goslar Train Station can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. There is additional parking available at a location near the hotel. Guests can enjoy hiking and cycling in the surrounding Harz Mountains. The Granestausee (Grane Dam) is 3 km away.
