7s Hotel Merci Hanoi

The rooms were damp, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, the beds felt damp to the touch. There was mould in the bathroom. We witnessed a rodent run across the restaurant/ reception area. Staff were very rude, we were refused a refund after looking at the rooms and deciding not to stay.

The room was dirty, mould on bathroom walls and roof and it was very loud and couldn’t sleep at night. The staff were also extremely rude and unhelpful, when we asked to get a new room they put us in a room which was even worse. Would not recommend staying here, I wouldn’t even say it’s value for money.

Breakfast was nice however very limited. Some of the rooms need some restoration. The air-conditioner is quite noisy and the air-conditioner in one of the room is not functioning. Overall I would say it's fair. Value for money.

The location was very good. The staff tried their best at service.

The staff did not speak English at all. The lift was located on the second floor so the staff had to help us bring our luggage up.

NOthing, the place was filthy and rundown, the photos are old and not representative of the hotel as it is now. Run, don't walk from this dirty place.

Our rooms had no electricity so they moved me to a dirty horrible hotel, king palace with no notice to myself. The hotel I was moved to was incredibly filthy and rundown. Construction going on all the time, exposed wires, massive amounts of dirt and trash under the beds and the smell...omg. My shoes were damp when i arrived, 6 days later they were still wet. the room was stinky, musty and dank. The only bright spot of this new unauthorized place was the girl working the desk, she was great. I found myself locked in the hotel at 7am unable to leave becasue the night clerk was asleep. Merci hotel was also filthy from what I saw. THe coffee area was just gross, no way would I have eaten or drank anything from that place. THe neighborhood was dirty too and the workers uninformed. I would never recommend this place after they stuck me at the biggest dump in Hanoi.
