We had a very pleasant stay. The resort is well kept and the palace suite room was very well appointed. All the resort staff was courteous and helpful - the team at the front desk, the restaurant staff, and the room service crew. We plan to visit again.
The location was stated as Belur but is actually more near Hassan. This created a little confusion in our planning as we thought that we could complete Halebid temple and go to the resort in Belur (as we understood it then) and see the Belur temple early the next morning as it was very near, but we found that we had to come back to Hassan for the resort and drive back 40 km to Belur the next morning on pretty much the same route we went the previous day. This was a small inconvenience but had we known the exact location we could have planned our trip better.

Set in the woods, I awoke with the birdsong. Comfortable room with lots of space and modern bathroom. Friendly staff.
There were several short power cuts which made navigating the property, and the room, difficult.

Breakfast was nice though only a buffet. Staff was good and the rooms were nice.
Dinner was terrible with entertainment we did not want and set in an outdoor area with too many bugs. The noise level did not allow us to have a conversation. The food quality was not up to par and again served buffet style. Had to wait in line for rotis etc - for the amount paid this was not acceptable.
