Christmas Time in Columbia Gorge
The grounds and building were beautiful. I especially loved the feel of all of the history and quaintness of a nearly 100 year old hotel. It was quiet, restful and beautifully furnished. I stayed in a corner room with windows on both sides where I could catch a glimpse of the waterfalls and see the river. I felt pampered and really wished that I could have stayed longer. The staff was wonderful and helpful. I stay in the Portland and Hood River areas often and this is one of my favorite places to go. It’s a yearly treat for me.
Quaint secluded romantic
Service in the bar......
Great food at the restraunt, clean rooms and beautiful setting.
Close to the small town of hood river. Staff was super friendly and the spa was to die for! We got 90 minute massages! Best ever!
Happy hour wasn't really happy. $12 for fish tacos doesn't really seem like a deal. The only drinks for happy hour pricing was wine and not a great selection at that. We had breakfast there twice. The first time was delicious, but the eggs Benedict was less than great. We give it a 6. Eggs were under cooked, the sauce lacked flavor. We filled out our ticket for breakfast to be served to our room but it was never picked up so we had to call. They were pretty prompt though when delivering it.
The location on a bluff overlooking Columbia River is fantastic. The patio extends onto the natural rock outcroppings and a 200 foot waterfall is along side. The breeze never let up and you felt like you were on top of the world. The beautiful grounds and gardens were also an added treat.
Secluded from town by a couple of miles but we didn't see that as a negative at all although some may.
When looking at a place to stay where you can get away from it all and enjoy yourself in the peace of nature, there are few places that can do the job better than the Pacific Northwest. Between the Cascade Mountain Range and the beautiful gorges and canyons, there is much to see and do in this area where you can get away from the every day stresses. The starting point on a great vacation is booking a room at the Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa. The Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa is located in one of the most beautiful parts of the Pacific Northwest – the Columbia Gorge. With views of nature that seem out of this world just outside your window, you will immediately feel relaxed. Take it a step further though – head into the spa and enjoy the vast array of spa services. After a day in the spa, you’ll feel centered again and ready to take on the world. When you’re not hiking or enjoying the spa services, you can enjoy great meals. The Pacific Northwest has a thriving culinary scene. Simon’s Cliffhouse and the Valentino Bar are in-house options offering exquisite dishes of gourmet standards. However, if you are looking for something a little more casual, there are plenty of dining options that are just a short drive from the hotel. When you want to get away from it all, few places can check all the boxes as luxuriously as the Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa.
