Location was amazing, parking was great. The lobby is good, there is a small shop where u can buy water and other small snacks.
There was a weird smell in the hallway, and other thing was that u can literally hear everything from your room, if you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not recommended. Fruits they sell at the lobby are not fresh at all, and they should start selling green tea
The bar was a great touch.
Having staff who’s more engaged and less rude. Our room had no small towels and the staff was unwilling to settle the issue until the next day around 9am. They advised that no towels were available which I could understand however they rudely handled the situation.
Comfort from home
I love It
B/a
Simple clean accommodations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to navigate, great location and price.
It was aurally a bit stressful. The speaker inside the elevator was blown and there was a persistent beep from a malfunctioning fire alarm. I spoke to the concierge and he was as distressed about it as I was. It helped. I start to feel like an old person, but sound matters. This is a minor issue, but the question was asked.
I love the fact that it was close to EVERYTHING! We literally could've walked everywhere except the night clubs
Housekeeping was very intrusive! They just entered the room and each time I wasn't prepared for an unexpected visitor!!
The room was smelling bad, no air plus lots of noi
Hated everything. Not classy at all.
Overall very nice stay
Access to Galleria. Friendly staff.
Bathroom door is too heavy and doesn't close all the way. Not a huge fan of Alofts. Trying too hard to be hip, but cannot pull it off because it's corporate. Having said that I would easily stay again for the value.
Simple, but nice place to stay
I've stayed in several Aloft locations. Like the others, it is simple and modern. The rooms are on the small side, but they are laid out very efficiently. They're clean and well-designed. The staff has always been extremely friendly and they have a decent little bar, pool table, gym, etc. which are a bit bare-bones, but cheery. I'm always very happy to stay there. This particular location is pretty good for me. The Galleria area is somewhat walkable for Houston and if you are driving, there are plenty of great food options nearby. Also, depending on the room you get, there are some pretty good views.
Parking is an additional $16, so you have to factor that into the cost of staying there... and while I said it's kind of walkable, you'll still need a car for the most part. The buses in Houston are kind of the worst (that used to be my primary mode of transportation when I lived there). Also, things nearby tend to shut down relatively early. If you want to have dinner after 10pm (which is not a crazy request in NYC, for instance) you'll have very few options. There is a bar/restaurant across the street that is pretty decent and open until 1 or 2am... and a Mexican place that is .5 miles away that is actually good... but there's nothing in-between, so you'll be the only person walking... or you could drive, but then drinking and driving... Not sure how that's supposed to work... But that's more of a Houston problem, than a problem with the hotel. The hotel is great.
bar
while i was paying cash, bartender seemed to want to overcharge me after a few driinks......
Great
I like the look of the hotel and the outdoor fire pit. Was great for pictures plus I was warm. Lol
The parking should be less. ($10 the most) not (16$) but I guess. Enjoy Aloft I did.
Clean, organized and well-designed.
Cute hotel, great location
Location! Next to the mall
Nothing, it was great
