Lovely quiet garden, ‘honesty’ bar set up for drinks which was welcome, fans in room. The hotel isn’t super modern in its decoration but it had a great deal of original French charm which we loved. The owners were very friendly and helpful, Excellent location for visiting Villa de Noailles the main purpose of our trip.
The garden was a sweet and nice place to sit and relax in the evening. The woman that fixed breakfast and checked me out seemed very nice.
I opted for Hyeres to spend a couple of hours by the sea, curious about the Hyere beaches. I should have researched the hotel and area more, and was chocked to find that Hotel Oreangiers was far from the sea. No buses going to the sea-side part in the evening and no bike rentals. I asked around ... So, the stay was a huge disappointment to me and I regret that I chose Hyeres at all. This hotel is best for people with car or bikers or people that enjoy walking around in old-town kind of alleys. I felt stuck and it seemed like everthing was closing atound 19. This is not hotel Orangier's fault, but maybe good to know for other solo Interrailers, like me. It was a good 20 minutes walk each way from the train station and nothing to do around the station. The toilets at the station were also cliosed. My room had a barred window facing a dirty backyard with dog poop and two big dogs that barked and jumped every time I touched the window. They were perhaps just curios and wanted to play but it was quite disturbing. Bed and bathroom was ok and clean, but it did not feel cared for, as in other places with the same price range. Breakfast was nice to have in the patio, it was ordinary, but with plenty of bread and butter, bakeoff criossants, ordinary juice, packed yoghurt a good size can of hot, nice coffee with milk and a delicious orange marmalade that tasted as if it was home made. I got a couple of large mosqito bites as a souvenir, I kept the window open. The room was very hot and had no air condition . There was a fan.
The friendly owners look after their guests very well. They provide a communal fridge and sell bottled water and soft drinks at reasonable prices for their guests convenience. The breakfast courtyard is charming and the rooms with terrace very pleasant.
Location was great. Nice garden.
Towels and bedding could be improved. Bed was a little uncomfortable.
Very clean. Local style. Comfortable - although slightly basic.
Breakfast location in the garden good - but food too basic could have had a little more choice.
