Indian Wells Resort Hotel was founded by none other than the comedic genius Lucille Ball and her husband Desi Arnaz. It sits just across the street from the famous Indian Wells Golf Resort and is only 12 miles from Palm Springs International Airport. It is less than six miles from the Empire and Eldorado Polo Clubs and surrounded by gorgeous natural scenery along with an array of shopping, dining, and sightseeing options.
A full resort, the hotel features a long list of stunning amenities and services. These include the daily continental breakfast buffet at Frank’s Place Restaurant, free or valet parking, free Wi-Fi, full use of the modern fitness center, free shuttles to the golf courses in the area, daily entertainment, use of the tennis courts, swimming in the hot therapy pools or swimming pools, massage services, and so much more.
As a property founded by entertainers, it makes sense that dining and entertainment are a major focus here, too. The pool was very good. Beds and pillows are small and lumpy. Clean overall.
The only reason I choose this hotel was its proximity to Indian Wells Tennis Garden for the national pickleball tournament. The facility is old and feels dated. Room comes with just a small refrigerator ( no microwave ). Next year I will find a hotel slightly farther away but better value.
