10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Bed and Breakfast was excellent! The owners, Kim and Patrick, were welcoming, friendly and informed. The breakfast was excellent (I had Eggs Benedict and they were perfect). The location is only 1 block from downtown. We were attending a concert at the Ironstone Vineyard and it was about a 20 minute drive. We will definitely go back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Loved The Prospector room. Close to downtown
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This property was recently bought. The new owners were incredibly hospitable. The property is one short block to the historic Sonira downtown. Once iarrived I didnt have to get in my car for dinner or shopping.
Cons: Though the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were very clean, the carpets are old. Though it was not a problem for me, the staircase to the room I stayed in was steep and narrow. The owner Kim happily offered to help me carry my bags, but I was fine on my own.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really nice, very helpful, and very concerned that our stay was pleasant. The location was 1block from Main Street. The breakfast we got was marvelous.
Cons: Nothing was wrong.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The price and the location was excellent. The breakfast was great.
Cons: The colour of the bedding and bathroom, very dark (red). Room is a bit small. Great
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel with lots of history. The authentic saloon bar from the days of the gold rush was amazing. The bedroom was stunning and the food excellent - recommend having dinner at the hotel. It was great for an overnight stay and very convenient for Colombia national park. An experience we will not forget.
Cons: This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at so nothing negative to say!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Steven was really hospitable and introduced the remarkable 160-year history of the hotel! Food at the hotel was good. Advice on events was also provided - we went to Father's Day Fly-in at Columbia Airport nearby. Very impressive.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: History, food and shower
Cons: Sheets were worn, wobble of fan, kitchen noise, stuffy room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked just about everything at this hotel. The overall ambiance is quite good and it was a fun little stop on the way to Yosemite. The soaking tub room was a nice touch. Plenty of surfaces in the room's bathroom for both our toiletries. The attached restaurant served some nice offerings and the included breakfast was minimal but good.
Cons: Unfortunately, the AC wasn't cranking out enough "cool" for our room, and it was the classically loud in-window style unit. To add to that, we must have been above the venting system for the restaurant's kitchen and that added to the noise. I suspect people on the other side of the hotel may not have had the kitchen vent noise issue (Room 10).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location great time thanks you
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a great historic hotel. The tub room was a wonderful treat.
Cons: The food although not bad, was not great either.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room #1, powerful shower , good breakfast & we stayed for evening meal we sat outside under the vines that was good too , stayed for a few drinks after in the bar & the bar tender she was good fun. Nice town to stop off in between Yosemite Park & Sacramento. Walked around town & upto Railtown a few blocks away
Cons: Coffee is left on the hallway @ 7am , I went to get some @ 7:30 & only one cup was left & the coffee dispenser was empty , the hotel wasn't full that night so should of been able to supply more, my only small grumble.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfy and plush, bathroom was spotless, breakfast was delicious as always, lots of choices and fresh. This is our go-to hotel when we hit the concerts at Ironstone, and the lady at check-in was delightful, very personable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautifully kept, comfortable and relatively quiet. The staff are very nice and the breakfast that comes with the price of the room is extensive, with lots of really fresh, sweet fruit, baked goods, including their homemade sour dough bread that was so good we bought a loaf to take home, quiche, cereals and more. It's a very relaxed and comforting environment. I would return and recommend to my friends and family.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The weather.
Cons: Location is in the middle of nowhere. Staff was not able to provide information about location, places for food, no maps, brochures available in the hotel. If you have heavy luggage don't request 2nd floor. There is no elevator. Sonora, Jamestown downtown has no places in general, but after 8 PM. there is nowhere to find food at alk. Both towns are dead at 8 PM. The Black Oak casino was the only place we found food, but really overpriced and average quality.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is close to restaurants and easy access to freeways.
Cons: Its Best Western

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent facilities, room and staff

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Worked out great for snow hitting our area hard.
7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect location, the swimming pool, hotels history as haunted, good breakfast, accomidating staff!
Cons: There was a mixup with our reservation, the room s are small, and need to be deep cleaned!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly, approachable and wanting to help. Pool was great and the area around
Cons: The air conditioning was very loud it worked extremely well but was loud and woke us up. Suggestion: the pool area and terrace could do with more loungers
8.0 Excellent
Pros: First off the young lady who check us in was very friendly and sweet. My husband and I agreed every hotel or business would certainly benefit by having her at the front desk! Our stay was just for one night, we would consider staying here again next time we pass through town.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 2 nights in a room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean, comfortable, and the beds were fantastic. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the heart of historic downtown Sonora. Some of the reviews about the Sonora Inn are a little ridiculous. I want to say to some of these people: look, this is an old, historic hotel. Located in an old, historic (SMALL) Gold Rush town. Be reasonable with your expectations.
Cons: The bathroom sink would fill up/back up pretty quickly and regularly. And the free WiFi almost never worked in the room. Downstairs in the lobby it worked just fine, but not in the room. The bumps and bruises that come with many historic, small-town hotels were really not a problem.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good bed. Had an exceptionally good night's sleep.
Cons: No problem, but the rooms are a bit outdated...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and helpful. It is an old inn with a lot of character. Nice, cozy room with fairly close to Yosemite
Cons: The noise in the morning.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The historic charm
Cons: It's an old hotel. The plumbing is very loud (sounds like a car crashed thru a wall when the people above us flushed the toilet. The Inn needs to update the plumbing and bathrooms. The breakfast that was provided was below average and nothing tasted goo
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was ok, good coffee; nice old building, refrigerator in the room, comfortable mattress, good location, very good price!
Cons: The street noise in the morning starts very early, not clean bedding, i found hair and piece of smg on the fitting sheet, looks they didn't change my bedding after someone slept there. Bad smell,I think bcz of old building.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The historical value of the property is very interesting. The wise, oak staircase isn’t seen very often these days. The room was uniquely furnished.
Cons: The bathroom sink has separated hot and cold faucet spouts and no plug to retain water in the basin, so I couldn’t keep water in the sink to wash my face with warm water. It took me a while to figure out the air conditioner settings, but finally did after the room got up to 80 degrees at 2:00 AM.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: a/c no remote , kettle not working , false pic of room furniture.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The building is beautiful, the rooms were not too big but comfortable. Bathroom was small too, but really pretty. The breakfast was perfect for me! The city is very cute. If we visit Yosemite we will definitely stay there again.

Cons: Air conditioner was noisy and could not adjust or turn off
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Palm Hotel is a beautifully restored hotel from the late 1800's. Located in Jamestown, CA, just a short walk to shops and eateries. Paula served us hot and tasty breakfasts to start our day. We staid in an elegantly decorated room with antiques and tucked away conveniences; microwave, small frig. Paula is a wonderful hostess. She managed to take care of our needs, kept a cheerful happy to please attitude and made us feel so welcome and at home. We have staid in many beautiful hotels around the world, but the Palm, along with Paula's kind and thoughtful caring was our favorite. It made us feel transferred back to the 1880's graceful living and gracious hospitality.
Cons: Nothing. We were completely satisfied.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient to the places we wanted to visit
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hot breakfast, friendly and helpful host, hot and strong showers and the overall ambiance of the place make the Palm Hotel an experience to remember. It is tastefully decorated in line with the history of the region without sacrificing the requirements of today's visitors.
Cons: Slightly larger refrigerator would be useful.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was an old quaint historic house with different rooms. Paula the host was so awesome. She had the place all in order and clean. She made us feel so comfortable. She made an awesome breakfast from the eggs from her chickens! And a pie from the fruit trees outside!
Cons: The only thing that our room #6 didnt have was a mini fridge. There is room in a cabinet for one. But she let us put our waters and wine and left overs in her big fridge. Very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome hospitality, good breakfast and traditional atmosphere of each room
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Paula the hostess is amazing! It was our anniversary and she made our stay even more special! Roses, Chocolate cake, and Breakfast in bed in the morning! Such great personal attention always makes us come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect!! Thanks a lot!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The gal that runs The Palm is super, very ...friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, clean room and very, very charming...old fashioned and comfortable...not a 5 star hotel, but a llovely B&B get away just a very short walk to the main drag! Plenty of towels and pillows!
Cons: A little tougher on a motorcycle which we were on due to gravel drive, but host allowed the bikes on the tile patio which was ok.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Paula couldn't do enough for us, she was a lovely host.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was done well, home made egg dish, waffles, juice, coffee, fruit, all good. Quiet, close to Main Street, hostess was very nice, friendly but gave us our space.
Cons: Bed was very firm. Hard to sleep for very long without getting stiff/sore.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a library, and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was an amazing find. It is a historic hotel which has been kept in pristine condition. The rooms were large, the beds were super comfy and it was very clean. The staff were very friendly and warm the entire visit. It is a smaller hotel with a lovely sitting area out back with a beautiful pool. Word goes that it is the most haunted hotel in Sonora and surrounding areas, and if you’re intrigued by things like this, rooms 10,11 and 12 might be your thing. Our room was basically uneventful, and I had the best sleep in nights. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Breakfast didn’t start until 7:30, and we had to be on the road a little earlier so I can’t comment on the food. Wish I could. Everything else was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A gold rush era building nicely adapted to modern use. For example the bathroom seems nicely modernized/updated but retains the quirky look of a bath added to a building that did not feature indoor plumbing when built. I would bet that no two rooms are configured alike. The breakfast room was originally a small bar and the decor is fascinating. The breakfast menu includes egg bake and coffee cake which gives it a B&B feel. My favorite part is sitting on the veranda in front of my room in a rocking chair looking out at the town and the opposing hillside. Very relaxing. Furnished with antiques but with a comfortable bed.

6.8 Good
Pros: The pool was nice. The location amazing
Cons: No fridge and in front where we were eating with my family there was a big cockroach yuk.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Staff was friendly, but pretty unhelpful. We contacted them several times about issues of the room and seemed to not care. TV didn't work and was never looked at during our stay. Room we stayed in faced the road, so mornings were very loud, hope you don't like to sleep in!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Room smells of urine. Bathroom floor dirty. Wifi didn’t work because of wrong codes. Breakfast poor quality. Fire alarm went off in the morning with no explanation or apology. Dirty appearance overall. Ice machine was very dirty. Manager didn’t care when I told him I didn’t enjoy my stay.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, friendly and helpful... Location to downtown was perfect for a walk before dinner.

Cons: The booking.com didnt read my credit card
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Do NOT stay here. We arrived 2.5 hours prior to check in, 3:30 pm, and were met with rudeness from the moment we got there. The owner, I assume, followed my brother into the parking lot, where my children were sitting in the 106 degree heat, and literally yelled at him for asking to see a room and if it was possible to cancel. We were also informed only 4 people were allowed in a room so I guess I or one of my young children were expected to sleep outside. The whole experience was unbelievable and I hope no other families have to go through what we did. We were charged $141 per room (we had two) but ended up leaving and cutting our vacation short as I was so uncomfortable. The facilities themselves were pretty rough.

4.3 Okay
Pros: The best thing about this property was leaving. I
Cons: This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed at. The room was dated and unclean. The shower curtain had mould growing on it. The shower was a hole in the wall that let no light in so you could barely see. The toilet seat was lose. The floor in the main room was uneven. The aircon rattled all night long and the unit looked like it could fall from the wall at any moment. The mattress had a large dip in it and had clearly seen better days. There was exposed wiring throughout the room. The sheets were dirty and had stains on it. The room shared a door with another. While it was locked it was NOT sound proof you could here EVERYTHING that happened on that room and there was a massive gap under that door and the main one. The person smoked weed on the first tonight’s I was there and blew under the door. The final night the person night door had sex all night long and I was kept awake. I repeat this room was NOT sound proof. There was only one lock on the front door and felt unsafe. The so called breakfast is a joke. It was just just prepackaged goods brought from a supermarket in a dining room that sits about 5, so be in quick if you want a seat. By far the worst place I have EVER stayed at. Best thing here was leaving.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful
Cons: Shower was very dark
