Quality of the food was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. Check out time of 11 meant we weren't hurried Attentive staff in all areas Great value
Beautiful place, great food and wine.
Ideally there would be more vegetarian options available on the menu.
An historic inn at the Southern edge of the Lake District. Recently refurbished rooms, with great beer and a superb breakfast. Our room was a little small but it had been thoughtfully organised with good use of space.
It was a shame that the real log fires weren’t ablaze during our stay, it was a fairly cool autumn day. The smoke detector/fire escape light had a green indicator light that doesn’t turn off so the room had an eerie green hue through the night.
Room was bright and clean with a grear shower. Food in the restaurant and breakfast were excellent.
Nothing bad really. If I had to be picky, the only thing that was a little odd was having to go outside to get back into the restaurant. Probably not usually a problem, but on the day we were there the rain was heavy so we got a bit wet. Not really a big problem though!
An amazing pub so dog friendly, food was outstanding. Beautiful room. Every we wanted and more.
