Cons (-) They lock you in the resort at night. I'm not kidding they lock you in. They give you a key to get out of the resort. It's a huge inconvenience when leaving and you have to dig through your stuff to get your keys to get out. I think this a a fire hazard but who knows. The ice machine sucks, it literally can not handle enough for 3 people to fill their glasses. We had 3 Caribbean sized cockroaches ...

Pros (+) Heron House was a lovely vacation spot. The staff were friendly and polite. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. It was spacious and so relaxing. It was nice to sit out by the pool and enjoy breakfast. They create an environment of guests to mingle, if they so choose. I was grateful we choose this beautiful spot to spend our vacation after my 165 mile bike ride.
Cons (-) The could improve the shower curtain placement.

Pros (+) We have stayed here in the past and decided to return for our anniversary. The gentleman at the front desk was amazing. Very kind and helpful. The room was wonderful and the beds very comfortable. The whole property is beautiful and very relaxing. Although you are just a block from busy Duval street, you feel like you are in your own secluded retreat.
