Enjoyed staying right on the beach. It’s not really a swimming beach unless you go out pretty far. When the tide is out there’s great shells and many interesting sea life to observe. Cabins are rustic but well cared for, if not a bit odd in design: the bathrooms are down a steep staircase from the elevated bungalow bedroom. Bathroom is large with local hot water heater for the shower. Outdoor Kitchens are single propane burner but a decent size refrigerator and cold water only sink. Eating area on outdoor balcony next to kitchen. Drying rack available. Breakfast was great and ordered off menu. Owner is single cook so there can be a wait if you go with a group. Bed was comfortable. AC good.
There were 4 restaurants in short walking distance as well as a family mart and fruit stand. If you want more variety you need a taxi. I was fine with these choices, but it’s good to be aware. WiFi in cabins was intermittently slowed - at times fine. From balcony it always connected as well as on the beach.
The place is very calm, quite and almost no people. The breakfast was very nice. International. Fresh made. The stuff was very nice. It is possible to rent a car or scooters for fair price.
The bungalow was cosy but old. Wifi was not that good. The beach was a rocky beach with coral reef, it was not posible to swim over the reef as it was very shallow, deepest spots to swim were around 80 cm. There is a road very nearby the place, it could be noicy during night and day especially if your bungalow is more towards the road than the beach. There are couple of restaurants nearby, food is not the best but is ok.
We liked everything. Steps to the beach, traditional 'cabin', made to order breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff. On site cheap scooter rental (200 p/d), tourist shuttle (400 per hour), steps from a supermarket, massage on the beach & restaurants (Mr Doon was our fav). Highly recommended for a relaxing family holiday. So beautiful. the duP3 South Africa
Location and staff were execellent
A more official office would be nice
Quiet beach, comfortable beds, plenty of.towels, a mini kitchen.
A little far from town and it was expensive to get taxi's.
