the hotel had an excellent location right on the edge of the main town centre. it was within easy walking distance of a number of good restaurants and the night markets. the room was clean and the hotelier went out of her way to be friendly and helpful, even making us breakfast long after the official time had passed.

the bathroom door was too low in our room, i hit my head a number of times, drawing blood. i am 6'2". i guess that makes me tall compared to the locals, but i doubt if my height is unusual amongst foreign travellers. also, when we tried to get the desk to arrange a generic taxi for us, they tried to add 100 baht on top of the price of the taxi, simply for making a phone call.

not much, except the price, but I am sure that you can get the same but closer to the beach.

The location, please do not get fooled. You do not want to be in Krabi city, you want to be at Aonang BEACH, that is where are all the action is and that is where you need to be. If you stay at Krabi City then you might as well not travel and stay in any Town.
