We had a two night stay split across two rooms. The first night was in one of the older rooms which are in need of updating and the second in one that has already been completely refurbished.
Very comfortable bed, great breakfast & spotlessly clean. Lovely soft bed, pillows & bed linen. The en suite was a bit small but all was very clean.
Nothing, it was a lovely stay with friendly hosts & excellent value for money. It was a bonus to be able to travel with my 2 small dogs.
Lovely warm welcome from owner., and info given on where all the eateries were. Room very clean. An electric heater in the room to boost the heat to make it comfortable. The bed was super comfy. A very good nights sleep. I would use again. There is a small bar area and lounge.
Chipped toilet seat. Although looked clean, offputting seeing the dark under layer showing through the white. A toilet seat doesn't cost much. The vent above the toilet was dusty. Ths small radiator was not adequate for the cold February weather. The owner did say they had taken over in the last 18 months and were working hard to improve the place.
The location was good although it was on quite a busy road. There was ample parking. The room was well designed and had a sofa so we didn't always have to sit on the bed next to each other.
There was a party on in one of the function rooms which went on till around 11.45. We could hear the music through the floor and then lots of cars and chat in the car park when people were leaving. The breakfast was fine, nothing special.
