8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect , such an awesome view and an amazing breeze , room was in very good shape
Cons: The food, the buffet is just redicilous bad to be honest , it was Indian night and honestly I don’t understand why make 15 tasteless dishes , just make 2 or 3 good dishes. Was just very disappointing to be honest
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I love this hotel!! The staff and the facilities are amazing! Lunch and Sunset Happy Hour over the Nile River was beautiful! What an experience!
Cons: The bathroom can be cleaner.. everything else, wonderful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 110% satisfied with everything at the hotel. Beautiful, relaxing, clean and amazing service. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nicely done hotel with great staff. Watching the sun set over the Nile and the West Bank hills from the beautiful pool areas was a highlight of the day. Rooms are not large but well appointed with extremely comfortable beds.
Cons: Only small things - music at the main pool was too loud so we escaped to the spa pool. Smoking in eating areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Free room service breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are so friendly and helpful. My partner's bag was slightly damaged during our travels and the concierge team at the hilton went above and beyond and got it repaired for us in a few hours. The check in staff and room service staff were so friendly and made sure we had enough supplies in the room. The staff at Rosetta, Ahmed and their team managing the breakfast was so friendly and attentive. Mohamed at Diwan sheesha and Mahmoud & team at Olives Restaurant were so friendly and attentive to us. The bar manager at the pool during happy hour makes the most beautiful cocktails with fresh and unusual ingredients like cardamon. Definitely a must try. A huge thank you to the hilton staff for making our stay in luxor so memorable and welcoming.
Cons: Nothing. It is a beautiful experience.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: -Our room was very nice - the bed, pillows and bedlinen were extremely comfortable and luxurious. Room was very clean and modern. -Excellent buffet breakfast. -The infinity pool near the spa area, a beautiful setting overlooking the Nile.
Cons: -The air con throughout the hotel was freezing, especially in the restaurants. We turned our room a/c off completely during our stay. It was 40 deg outside and felt like 18 deg inside (I caught a chill). -The restaurant staff were a bit too intrusive at mealtimes. -The other huge pool was very very shallow, seemed a waste of space. Quite disappointing as it looks absolutely fabulous.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner and his family quickly make you feel at home. The room was nice and clean. Bed and facilities are very comfortable. Food in the restaurant is amazing, delicious and fresh. Sayed helped me to book tours to get to know the most important and beautiful things in Luxor at a good rate! This hotel is overall great, had a great experience and would stay here again! If you’re going to Luxor I would definitely recommend this place. Staff is very helpful and nice.
Cons: .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean rooms, and quite spacious. Loved the location. Excellent WiFi.
Cons: If you book, and the owner wants payment in US dollars, then bring US dollars with you. The exchange rate he uses is significantly NOT in your favour. Don’t just pay what he says it is. For two nights he was wanting an extra £10 more than we should have been paying. I used currency converter to show him his conversion was incorrect. Next time I will just take dollars.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the place, Sayed, and his staff had many attentions for us. Sayed helped us organizing our transfer, took us by car to the nearby sites (under 40 degrees!) and provided good advices for the balloons, sites to visit... The room was spacious and clean (and made every day), bathroom with high water pressure in the shower (not common in Egypt!) The breakfast and dinner were very good, and served in the restaurant of the hotel. Wifi is pretty good too.
Cons: Nothing... As it was very hot (too hot for me I guess), I would have enjoyed a swimming pool for 1 hour!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable property. I really enjoyed the view from the balcony and roof deck overlooking the sugarcane fields, particularly at sunset time. Food was very good. Sayed, the owner, is a strong personality, who goes out of his way to help his guests. There was a Wi-Fi connectivity issue on my floor, which he moved very swiftly to remedy. He also negotiated a good rate for a bicycle rental, which was brought right to the hotel. The early check-in and late check-out were also very much appreciated.
Cons: 3% fee for paying with Visa. No shower door/curtain, though this didn't bother me much. From an environmental perspective, there seems to be scope to reduce usage of plastic wrap (with plastic used, for example, to cover jam that is already packaged). Some initially quoted local transport prices seemed high, though he also very kindly brought me to some nearby spots on the West Bank at no cost.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location, they are close to all the temples. his collaborators are very attentive, without leaving one out, and the owner of the hotel that was always available to give us an excellent service and that the stay was like being at home. Every space clean a feeling peacefully.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Train and Plane Tickets for transport to other cities in Egypt were arranged through the hotel and hand delivered to me. Tours, Activities, Driver and Guide were arranged through hotel, and extremely convenient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like the owner said we were not just clients but guests! Mister Sayed could arrange anything we needed : transportation, valuta change, bike rental, visits,... His hotel is very comfortable, clean and pleasant, the breakfast is wonderful and let you have a wunderful sightseeing without starving, and the diner is perfect. The place is very pleasant at the west of the west bank : peace, green and incredible sites within a bike distance
Cons: We missed a roof terrasse for our breakfast but ... it is in construction. So next time we come to Luxor we will enjoy it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing and friendly staff. Mr. Sayed is the perfect host and made sure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms are very clean and serviced daily. The chef prepares delicious and fresh food as per your choice. The property is in a great location, travelling to the necropolis in the West Bank was so easy for us. The rooftop offers amazing night sky and a great view. Would surely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sayed is an excellent host, going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room is so spacious and bathroom is clean. They changed the toiletries and towel everyday. The owner is so helpful for arranging the taxi to airport. He took us personally to the village and shops in particular. We bought some great authentic spices. He was so helpful to arrange the hot air balloon, but because of our tight schedule, we couldnt make it. We were only guests at that time, so we couldnt explore the facilities fully.
Cons: The hotel is in west bank and the west bank attractions are so close and easily accessible. Our own guide (booked by ourself through third party) tour started from west bank and finished in east bank. The taxi guy was not interested to return us back in west bank. The breakfast is average, only bread, jam, cheese and honey. May be because of we two only stayed in the hotel at that time. After stayed inside cities (Cairo and Aswan) this west bank looks so deserted.

Pros: Excellent breakfast!!! Quiet, authentic neighborhood Very clean room Comfortable bed Friendly staff Amazing view from roof top Electric kettle in the room
Cons: No soap in the bathroom Instant coffee for breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: In these faster days, when you are travelling in a warm country as Egypt and the sun touch your body and give you so much energy, the best way to put it in equilibrium is to arrive to Compound Hotel in the West Bank in Luxor. They have a paradise in the middle of the history of Egypt, it’s a kind of heaven, an Oasis that it’s surrounding by green trees and beautiful Bugambilias, and the shadow touch you as the seda when you return of the adventures. Our room was perfect, with a unforgettable view of the Nile and its palms, a drawing of an artist. The space of the room is big enough that you are not worry if the faraones has something big, you have already. And the food that they can prepare for you, leave all the others restaurants out of the game. Charming, gently, smiling people are waiting for you, and the swimming pool is a cold cloud in the middle of the sun lands.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This guesthouse is a gem.on the West Bank of Luxor. The location is quiet, the perfect place to recover after a hot day visiting the many sights Luxor has to offer. When I arrived I received an upgrade to the suite. A beautifully designed room with living area. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home. It was hot (40C) so the chilled lemon juice and cold watermelon were the perfect welcome.
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was perfect, the food and drinks provided was great. The room was big enough and really nicely decorated as the outside with fruit trees and flowers everywhere.
Cons: The room was so hot for many days (walls and structure) that it took a long time for the AC to refresh the room. The pool was unusable because there's was no maintenance done and underfilled.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One of the Best hotel i have stayed during my entire 10 days trip in egypt. Excellent location ,such an Amazing and helpful staff. Specially mahamod manager. Amazing breakfast , swimming pool. A must stay hotel in luxor.
Cons: Must stay property in luxor.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our apartment was spacious and very clean with two big bedrooms and good air conditioning. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast next to the pool and free towels were provided at the swimming pool. Our host was really nice and helped us with everything and made sure our stay was as nice as possible. All with all a really great experience and a lovely hotel!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: thanks to the manager’s great advice, we had the opportunity to spend great time in Louxor end the Nile Valley...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Too perfect, this is my dream of accommodation, the middle of the night to pick us up, riding a motorcycle to taxi in front to lead the way into the village feel particularly primitive, quiet. All relaxed, compared to the hotel, it's more like a home, village, courtyard, every child's village, warm and honest, gave me some fruit, luxor when I go there, I would like to live here for a month, enjoy the quiet here, like the French lady, will meet in the evening every day in the morning, one day I met her in the villages around at night, and also take me home, just met a holiday over there on the third day, all the children put on new clothes, jewelry, big morning will see a lot of children, is a sense of ritual, permeated with the joy of holiday, the in the mind also follow them happy.
Cons: no
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect!! The people, the bedroom, the food, the pool and the area. 100.000% recomended.

Pros: People are very nice. I liked the pool. Breakfast is good

5.4 Okay
Pros: There are nice views from the rooftop, the room and bed size were good, and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly when we spoke. The driver to and from the airport (Ahmed?) was fun and very friendly.
Cons: One of the pillow cases on my bed had some weird brown stains, and also the toilet bowl was quite dirty. Maybe it was just my room, but the AC unit had trouble to keep the room cool even at full power on a cold setting, it was still pretty hot in the room and I was sweating. I even left the AC on all night and all day in hopes that I would return to a cool room after exploring Luxor, but it was still quite hot. Maybe it is because it is so hot outside in the summer though? Often, when I would go down to the reception area, the staff were lying down on the sofa sleeping, and i felt a little uncomfortable if I needed something. When I checked in, I spoke about how I would need a drop off at the airport, and we discussed times and would leave at 7am, so have breakfast at 6:30am. On the check out day, I went to the rooftop for breakfast, but nobody was there, so I went downstairs and they were sleeping on the sofa. I asked about breakfast, and they told me ok and to wait on the rooftop, so I did this, but nobody came for 10 minutes, and then they told me that they don’t have anything for breakfast because it’s a festival; I would have expected they get some foods the day before to serve for breakfast? They suggested I could get some breakfast on the drive to the airport, but the places were closed because of the festival; poor preparation. It would also have been nice if the hotel would have provided a towel etc for taking a shower, but there were no towels. I was not provided with the WiFi password at any point either. One extra thing- not really a bad thing but more of a suggestion- when serving the breakfast or dinner, please put the cutlery separately on the table. During my dinner, it took me a long time to realise that the cutlery was under the bread! Until then, I had been trying to eat everything by picking it up with the bread, as I was not sure whether this is normal way of eating in Egypt, and I could not see the staff at the rooftop; maybe he went somewhere?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to ferry terminal and West Bank sights. Really helpful staff and a good included breakfast on the roof with a nice view.
Cons: The WiFi was too slow to do anything other than send messages and emails.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the West Bank of Luxor, which might seem as a downside. But it is a beautiful escape from the busy Luxor on the east bank and we can totally recommend staying there! Staff is very helpful and the driver Ahmed is friendly and will take you to all the sights if necessary. The rooftop is amazing!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Thank you to Nasser and his staff I felt very welcome. The room was very large, clean and tastefully decorated. The view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. You could watch the sunrise and sunset over Hapshetsut Temple in the distance. The food was traditional and fresh and large servings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Cons: The accommodation is further away from airport than I had realised on the west bank. But if you are looking for a quieter and greener alternative this is it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly family run business. Made to feel very welcome and offered bespoke meals and outings, even joining the owner to a local cafe by the Nile. Stunning views from the colourful roof terrace and the feel of an authentic local area, whilst being a short walk from the Nile and various shops. Right next to the riding stables for anyone into riding or watching horses from the roof. Car hire organised at short notice and reasonable rates. Luxor is a magical place with so much to see. As a coeliac the traditional meals were not suitable but simple foods were cooked at my request.
Cons: Beds could be a little firmer for my taste and the bedroom aircon was a louder model, despite being very effective. We had earplugs and so were totally fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is very clean, well located. The staff is so nice and kind, they helped us a lot. The food is unexpensive, fresh, authentic and dleicius.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, free breakfast, amazing prices the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the rooftop terrace where we had breakfast was amazing. The room was a small size. But for the price, it was great!! The beds were comfortable as well. Each room had its only balcony that overlooked the amazing land. Good AC as well
Cons: The bathroom was undesirable. Sketchy shower and water pressure. I dreaded showering sometimes lol but like I said, the prices are worth it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most amazing part of my trip to Egypt was Luxor and the Cleopatra hotel. The owner and staff were so amazing making me feel as if I were a part of the family!!! The food at the hotel was amazing. All fresh and made to order! I will be back.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food is served in a most beautiful rooftop setting. The staff are super friendly and caring. They went out of their way to help us through our time in Luxor.
Cons: WiFi speed could be better.

Pros: A friendly oasis. The breakfast buffet is excellent with an abundance of choice. During the day or evening you can sit, eat, drink, by the pool, in the garden, on the roof, or in the restaurant or the bar. It's a quick walk to a plethora of boats, taxis, tuk-tuks and private cars, as well as the ferry across the river. It's easy to hire a driver for the day or just one way. Take a boat to Karnak, the museum, or just across to the Luxor Temple.

Pros: Great personnel, lovely location with a huge garden and swimming pool, very good food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean. Easy to find. Staff very good.
Cons: There was nothing to dis like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with amazing food. the food at the hotel was much better and cheaper than outside the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, the manager Mohammed did a great job by helping us to organise our day tours and hot air balloon for a very good price. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and atmosphere. This is created by the garden, roof top terraces and cosy choice on room furnishing and lighting. Pool is a lovely bonus. The staff often goes the extra mile and owner is friendly and very approachable. His office is in the garden...
Cons: The indoor breakfast setting was let down by the many flies. This seems only a problem to this particular room. Can be solved pretty easily by combination of ceiling fans and some UV lights...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After travelling for 9 months we can most definitely say that El Gezira Garden Hotel is the BEST place we have stayed thus far. If we could give an honest rating we would give it a 20 OUT OF 10! The staff at El Gezira Garden Hotel were beyond amazing with the manager Muhammed making every element of our stay incredible. From the cute rooms to the amazing breakfasts & dinners to the well priced, incredibly knowledgable tour guide that was organised for us, we were blown away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! - We arrived here as guests and will now walk away as friends.
Cons: Everything was amazing, there was absolutely nothing to dislike. Thank you again El Gezira Garden Hotel, we will most definitely be back!
7.5 Good
Pros: The gardens were beautiful and had lots of birds
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I cheat a little here as this is my 3rd visit/stay so I know what to expect. I go because of its location, its staff and its facilities and charm which from the photo you can see is unique. It says a lot about an establishment that has the same staff (with maybe a couple of exceptions since 9 years).
Cons: There was nothing to dislike ! Perhaps I would like to see some upgrade in bathroom fixtures and fittings and some external windows and doors replaced, but overall I have no dislikes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything! From the moment we arrived until we left we were treated with smiles and affection, nothing too much trouble. An Oasis on the edge of the Nile, amazing food and gardens, we will definitely be visiting again and so sorry that we couldn't stay longer.

Pros: Very nice stuff & very clean!
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly and it definitely has great value with a really low price.
Cons: The mosquitoes absolutely killed me like nowhere else in Egypt. The location is close to the port but it's on a small and not so well lit street and it can be quite intimidating walking to the hotel especially at night. The tours the hotel sells are short and not worth the price. You can get much better deals on the street.

Pros: This is a beautiful, quiet and clean property with lovely views, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. I also appreciate the reception allowing me to check in early as I had an early morning flight.
Cons: I was extremely exhausted from my very early flight so I ordered room service breakfast. Omelette was cold , and the menu said French fries but I was given something that may have been a potato

Pros: It is average.
Cons: Many motorcycles inside the hotel, even between the rooms using the golf car routes, which can be dangerous if you have kids. It seemed like it belongs to the staff as their security were OK with them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, smiling & very helpful staff, the selection of food at breakfast & dinner. Best place to relax in Luxor.
Cons: They have a nice big gym but unfortunately the airco didn't work ! I know from other guests who stayed there that it has been ongoing sinds quite some time... What a pity they give it so little attention.

Pros: Location is magnificent, magical view over the Nile river

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, Location, Location! Best view of the Nile possible from the lovely infinity pool - amazing Incredible value for money. Staff very friendly and attentive, refilling pot of tea!
Cons: Nothing, maybe a bit tired, but forget the rooms they are not what it is about. Had problems with door key, but minor stuff!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We always love this place, perfect
9.4 Excellent
Pros: the place was lovely- clean, manicured. super adorable cats all over the place :) the food was amazing- the buffet breakfast and dinner were great. everyone working there was very kind and considerate.
Cons: two things i did not like at all 1) they spray some kind of toxic fumes every night to kill mosquitoes. it's horrible- when it gets sprayed a huge cloud overtakes the entire place and takes a good 20 minutes to settle. we would go in our room and put the towel on the floor to try to keep it out of our room but it would seep into the cracks. this is horrible and i wish they would not do it 2) the internet connection there was not good at all. we got it sometimes- but it was not reliable enough for anyone who has regular work to do that needs reliable internet.

Cons: The table and the bed side table were dirty and had dirt stains on it. The room was older. The sink did not drain the water. The TV remote had drained batteries. The bed pillows was not comfortable. The internet access was fast but not convenient. No parking at the facility. Street parking is available. No outside concierge was available for any help or information.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, clean, very comfortable rooms and great staff.
Cons: Prices are relatively high, but that's to be expected at a high category hotel like this one.

Pros: Amina was amazing. She provided information and insight not available in any guidebook. This was the secret of our success on this trip. We were able to navigate the local customs in order to experience our desired destinations with a minimum of hassle. Her presence is a treasure at the Steigenberger, taking the establishment from good to great. The breakfast was amazing. It provided sufficient variety to expose us to many types of Egyptian cuisine. The abundance of options meant we had no need to refuel during our adventures until evening. Try the honeydew melon juice. The multiple restaurants within the hotel grounds provided convenient, high quality options.
Cons: The refrigerator could have been larger, considering the amount of water necessary to drink.

Pros: The staff is very cooperative and polite. Tha flowers and the roses were wonderful

Pros: After arriving and being welcomed to the Hotel I was escorted to my room by a lovely lady who gave me all the information I needed for a pleasant stay, also arranging a late checkout for me. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and bright, fresh fruit greeted me on the table upon entering the room. coffee and tea making facilities were at my disposal. There is also a mini bar should you wish to use it, there are many shops, ATM etc nearby. The back of the hotel is on the Nile with boat trips available. The hotel has many facilities.
Cons: not a great view from my room.

Pros: Location with views of the River Nile
Cons: nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great starting from the staff to the pool ... The location was awesome right in front of the River Nile .... I have stayed on the East bank the last time but I can say the west bank is 100% way more beautiful and calm and relaxing .... Very close to the public ferry to East bank ( 1 pound for Locals and 5 for foreigners ) which was awesome ..... I live in Cairo and I can say that Luxor people are very very kind ...
Cons: The breakfast was offered just from 7 to 9 am which was a limited time ...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A hotel with a fabulous location, a small pool and serves a great breakfast.
Cons: At times, the street noise at night was loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing stay. Clean, great view from the balcony, spacious rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Pool was always clean and accessible, they provide pool towels as well. Water taxis right across the street to bring you to the East bank. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Cons: Not too much around within immediate vicinity, but we knew that going in since we opted to stay on the West Bank for more of a quiet stay. We found breakfast to be slightly expensive for what we got. The instant coffee! :( Opted to head to a nearby cafe for more authentic Egyptian coffee, but that is obviously personal preference.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location is awesome.. You can see nile river on your balcony.
Cons: Counter always no staff. My breakfast serve late. I thought 7am they already prepare but they open at 8am.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing and would do anything for you. The food was incredible and excellent value. The pool is also great and very welcome in the summer sun. The West Bank is definitely the better place to stay in luxor and the ferry across is cheap and easy, the East Bank is full of touts, smells bad and constant hassle. Definitely stsy here if you come to luxor.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location on the river Nile is amazing. Comfortable bed, small swimming pool is nice when it’s hot!
Cons: Room was fine - but double bed with only one pillow? When we asked for a second we were given a sausage shaped pillow which wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. WiFi was poor - 3 different networks that we struggled to get to work properly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location nearby the ferry is super convenient! We liked the friendly breakfast with view on the Nile, and the swimming pool after a day of site-seeing is perfect... Pool towels are provided! We chose a room with Nile view where we watched the sunset in the Luxor Temple... Very Nice!!!
Cons: The check-in was a bit awkward, only one towel on the room, not enough toilet paper, ... but they were very happy to help us when asked for more, so no problem.

Pros: Generally a decent place
Cons: Overall needs improvement

Pros: The View of the Nile. Also the location of the Hotel.
Cons: The Hotel is over used and needs renovation.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Worst traveling experience in my life and worst hotel I’ve been so far. Unprofessional, limited understanding of English and they didn’t care about the customer. They overcharge room WiFi. We paid to have internet and the internet wasn’t working. They made me spend like 3 hours to figure out was happening. The stuff was terrible, they sent an “IT guy” to help us out and he hadn’t any idea what he was doing. He came and the only thing he said it was my phone is connecting I don’t know what’s wrong with yours. That’s how he came to help and guess what he made us angrier. We had a lot of work to do and we did nothing because we hadn’t internet. Thank god the we stayed only for a day. Terrible experience

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The West Bank is a great place to stay; 24-hour ferries add to the convenience. I had a room with great views; especially the mountains at dawn. Bathroom very clean, and plenty of hot water. I was able to arrange several excursions through the hotel; all tailored to my requests, and just what I hoped for. The staff were very informative and helpful; for example giving me instructions on getting to the weekly local market, and taking me to a nearby ATM.
Cons: The breakfast is a little ordinary, but I have to say that for all the breakfasts provided by hotels during my stay in Egypt.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Mohammed made this trip a wonderful experience for us. He arranged transport for us from the airport and helped us organizing tours and trips and anything we wanted to do. The breakfast was omelette, bread, cheese, yoghurt and banana (the omelette was really amazing) and the dinner at the hotel was also lovely! The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a balcony and the garden is gorgeous.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Garden and freshness. We feel very comfortable, when sleeping (for tourists it’s very important)
Cons: We like everything, but want to wish something about breakfast. In this country wonderful and cheap fruits, add it in the porridge for example. Cheese (hohland) is not a good idea:)))) super primitive and not a specific
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was standard. We ordered more tea and had to pay extra. So just be aware of this. The garden was beautiful as shown on the website
Cons: We do think that we were over charged for the trip to "the valley of the kings" as this is realy not that far.. We also paid 20 EP for water that costed 5 EP in the small shop in the village
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service is very good and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous hotel in Luxor - and everything is sparkling clean. Wonderful garden to eat and relax in with the best meals we had in Egypt -stick to what they recommend for lunch and dinner. Owners were also very helpful in organizing transport and guided tours. They went to great trouble to help entertain the kids - by taking them to feed the neighbourhood camels, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ahmed and Mohamed (father and son) helped us with everything we needed. They made us feel at home. They’re building a wonderful new wing in the hotel that will be finished soon. A great example of hard work and dedication. If you want to have a real Egyptian experience Amin is much more recommended than the big international hotels that lack soul.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel on the West bank of the Nile. It was away from the main tourist areas that are on the East bank but getting to the East bank was easy thanks to the ferry which was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast was satisfying and all the staff were excellent. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for people on a budget.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner of the hotel treated us like we were part of his family. Because of his generosity we were able to watch a funeral procession, attend a wedding party, and have tea at his daughter-in-law‘s house. We truly felt like we were part of the West Bank family in Luxor! He also arrange for us to be able to go swimming at a local 5 star hotel and have dinner at their establishment To sum up we had the trip of a lifetime and enjoyed every minute with our Egyptian family. Shokran Ahmed!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was yoghurt, bananas, tea, nescafe, omelet or eggs. and bread and butter and jam. Having bananas, yoghurt and omelet made a sustaining breakfast. in the delightful garden and friendly waiter, Hassan.
Cons: I would have liked a window to see out. There were two but with mandatory shutters to keep the aircon effective.

Pros: The staff was very nice, the room was clean, the bed was very big and comfortable, the food was very good and the hotel is nearby the nile ferry. The pool was very nice.
Cons: The only thing that I think they could improve was the signs for the guests because we felt a little bit lost sometimes inside the building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful and comfortable rooms. The rooms provide you with everything you need and more, for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Very well organised hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It’s a good hotel, with a nice swimming pool and many facilities . The breakfast it’s very good and the location is the best, good prices at restaurant even in alcohol drinks. It’s in front of Luxor Temples , crossing the Nile . Just need use the ferry and 5 Egiptian pound but it’s more quite and friendly that part of Luxor. You can find pharmacies, stores, restaurants so close and avoid all the sellers, cars and noise.
Cons: My room was so good but had a little bad smell, I’m not sure if was the bathroom. It was the first in front of swimming pool.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: The guy at the reception lied to us “forgetting” to mention there was no water in the room. The guy at the restaurant tried to buy twice the dinner... no discount for the bad accommodations and for the fact there was no water at all !! The owner should be angry on local people who threat so bad the tourists
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location on the West Bank with amazing view of Luxor Temple. Right in front of the boat jetty so easy access to both sides. The West Bank is so nice and peaceful compared to the big hassles on the east bank - including inflated prices at mini markets etc. Here you are treated like a local. The pool is great to cool off in after a day of touring. The restaurants serves up wonderful and delicious food. Great food in fact. Staff are very helpful and genuinely lovely. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing really. Everything was great!

Pros: Amazing views and staff. Pool perfect temperature. Owner lovely.

Pros: Didn't have breakfast . In a great place close to ferry and motor boats and a short walk to the shops.
Cons: There was no wifi.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, the owner Karin is a very nice and helpful woman ! She sent someone until the train station to give me back a jewellery lost in the room. Never forget this honestly. 100% quiet, clean et the food was amazing !
Cons: Nothing !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had the most amazing 3 night stay at this family run hotel. It’s situated on the west bank close to tombs etc. and apart from the taxi drivers and boat owners wanting your business it was out of the hustle and bustle which was a plus for us as we prefer to stay where the locals live. About 100m to incredibly cheap ferry fare to east side and then walking distance to museum. The large room with balcony was really clean with thoughtful touches like a large cake of soap and extra toilet paper. The pool looked very clean and inviting. We also ate at the restaurant which was fine. We’ve been in Egypt 3weeks, from the Sinai to the south and this hotel is by far the best in which we’ve stayed, and fantastic value.
Cons: The wifi was average, not only a problem with this hotel but seems endemic to Egypt.

Pros: Coffee specially Moroccan bar
Cons: the hotel is far from the city which made the transportation hard
7.5 Good
Pros: The garden was exceptional and Nice was breathtaking
Cons: Staff has no manners. They smoke everywhere. Hotel lobby was stinking with cigarette smell. The check in staff was exceptional and very helpful. In the restaurant the dinner was Alcarte contrary to buffet as expressed while booking. The staff needs to learn to smile to their customers.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was amazing! The people working there all the time were wondering if we need something, service is fast and the housekeeping are funny guys too haha the food was good and the people in the restaurant very friendly too.
Cons: The WiFi is super bad haha and the location is quite far but better so you can avoid the tourist traffic in city Center and the people who always want to sell something. That’s something we didn’t like too and is that when you’re enjoying your time in the pool, there is people that comes and offer everything like a tour guide or boat to go to city Center or clothes, like is no all the time but anyway that annoys a little bit buy after all the hotel is really good! We wanted to stay 2 nights and at the end we stayed 5 days haha.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very welcoming, the hotel has everything you might need in a resort.
Cons: The wifi signal is poor in the room and restaurant. But having lived in Africa for 10+ months now, I'm getting used to it.

Pros: The staff are the best I’ve experienced. The gardens wonderful and very relaxing Overlooking the Nile. Having breakfast and dinner (both very good) outside watching the Nile flow past , with warm and friendly staff to talk with and birds and nature close by in the most beautiful garden- bliss. Very relaxing. Close to Karnak temple. Wonderful. Highly recommended.
Cons: Everything was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay in the Mercure Karnak. If I could give 10 stars I most certainly would. This has to be the best hotel in Luxor and Karnak for its level of staff commitment to ensure our comfort and needs were met on every level. We felt so special and so well looked after. It’s very hard to put into words the joy and kindness that was constant in every staff member we met. I can not recommend this hotel high enough!!!!! In between taking trips out to visit The Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Luxor Temples and many other sites, we would relax in the hotels gardens, which having the Nile as a backdrop, was sheer heaven, scents from the carefully tended garden would waft on the welcomed cooling breeze from the Nile. Plenty of shade was offered via the tall and well established palm trees. As I’m writing this review I want to book my next trip here ASAP. If you are looking for a hotel where all your needs are happily met, or looking for a getaway from stresses of life, or as a base to visit the wonderful historical sites, then this is the hotel for you. Just as a footnote, no sign of upheaval or disharmony outside of the hotel, we’d walk through Karnak and Luxor feeling very safe indeed. We’d even pop into the locals coffee shops just for the atmosphere, and to connect with the locals. Just something we like to do when touring. We always felt so so safe.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like, it was a perfect stay!!!

Pros: Great location for exploring West Bank although no restaurants or shops around. The rooms are basic but well presented. Our host Mahmoud was very accommodating and organised everything we needed, including transfers & tours.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place in the banana trees, the restaurant food, the nice and helpful team, view over the nile
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff, particularly Rafat, are very friendly, helpful and professional. The location is very good....quiet and no hassle. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. If you want utter peace and quiet, this is a great place.
Cons: The facilities, considering what the hotel are charging, are sub standard and in a state of dis repair. The hotel has a nice local, ethnic, chilled "vibe"....but then does not charge "local" prices....it charges top class, luxury, 5 star hotel prices. The swimming pool, though cleaned every day, is utterly freezing and unheated. The whole hotel basically is tatty and seems as though it has been allowed to go downhill. It certainly needs some maintenance. The owner needs to spend some money to revamp the facilities. We paid 800 US Dollars for 7 nights and this, for the area, is way over priced.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were helpful under difficult circumstances, as there was NO POWER, they went out and got food from somewhere! Beds were comfy... big room.
Cons: Old dusty outside area, seat not comfortable for eating at tables, no garden to walk in as advertised. Wi fi to rooms was very weak or non existent, kettle was broken and no milk or creamer for coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful property on the west bank of the Nile so it's lovely and quiet. The bungalows are beautifully decorated and each has their own private garden to relax in. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The food is good. I would really recommend Al Baeirat to anyone who wants a relaxing place to stay in Luxor.
Cons: Nothing! My stay was perfect. You do have to cross the Nile to get into Luxor but it's never a problem for them to take you across on the hotel boat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a great boutique hotel, top quality, the service is fantastic, the hotel is as a traditional village, the apartments in style are very nice, with all the confort all you need, large, clean, fully furnished, in great condition. Nile river crossing, and immediate when you need, is free!!! A special thanks to Rafat, the hotel manager, always available and very professional to take care of all one needs, but all the staff was very helpful and nice. A very relaxing place for who wants to live a real Luxor experience, out of the conventional stays in big chain hotel, but with a service and room quality as five stars one ..... This is the place we will stay again in case we will return to Luxor
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Food was great. Felucca ride on nile - wonderful. Leila our guide was tremendous. Highly recommended.
7.9 Good
Pros: Cute little hotel on the West Bank, perfect if you want to see how the locals live away from the city. We went in July for 1 night and were the only guest there. We got a “family bungalow” which is 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms in a cottage, very roomy! The decor is spartan but nice and it’s all very clean. the A/C is very cold and so are the mini-fridges.Tthey sell beer for only LE40. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the part of the village with shops and restaurants, and it’s easy to find transportation. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. There is a mama dog with 4 puppies on the properties, she is an awesome dog, sweet and loving to everyone. I hope they take god care of her...she is missing patches of hair and seems hungry a lot (I gave her all my breakfast :) )
Cons: Coffee is horrible, they should invest in a real coffee machine and real coffee - even and American drip one would be good. I’d happily pay extra for that. Breakfast is pretty simple and it would be nice to get some fresh fruit as well. The pool is nice but will need to be updated soon, it is lined with plastic, not tile and it’s coming off in places.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The view
Cons: The hotel location is great but is has no parking the rooms are big but there are ants and cocoraches all over. the hotel is over price for it's facilities I was the only guest for 3 days
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful and service was great. Rooms are clean and very nice. Food is delicious! The only way into downtown is by water taxi but this is located right at the property. The manager arranged a driver who was prompt.
Cons: Grounds need maintenance, pool needed cleaning

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good location, comfortable bed & friendly / helpful staff
Cons: Water pessure was iffy, no TP for the bathrooms
1.0 Poor
Cons: This hostel is genuinely one of the worst places we have stayed in nineteen months of budget travel to over 40 countries. If you like being denied the room you booked, getting food poisoning from an absolutely filthy kitchen, being shouted at for bargaining for a fair deal and never being provided the services that have been agreed upon, then this is the place for you. Don't let the initial warm demeanour of the owners fool you, they are ripping you off at every turn and refuse to follow through on any agreements they make. We were looking to book a private car for three days to go to visit the archaeological sites and they initially said that $30 per day would get us an english speaking driver for the day and that it would be completely hassle free. We bartered down to $20 per day as this is far more reasonable compared to Egyptian prices, and had a car agreed for 6am-2pm with unlimited stops, wherever we wanted within the Luxor area. Each day was a nightmare with a driver that barely understood even the names of the archeolgical sites, had their own idea of where they wanted to go, and tried to force us to finish hours early. Somehow the owners of the hostel though this was our fault and shouted at us. When we told a couple of other guys that showed up about the problems we'd had, the owners shouted at us again. Not to mention that every time my boyfiend left for a second to grab something from the room, the older guy kept trying to force me to buy to a feluca ride and glared at me when I refused. Avoid at all costs.

Pros: The Bob Marley House is awesome, if you want to go to Luxor and feel like you is a part of an egyptian family is the best place!
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Ok, some things can be fix (noisy AC) or refresh (rooftop), but with the help of all of the crew, we spend greats days in Louxor, and that's really all we need !
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were great. Very friendly, always helpful. I was able to organise a great tour of the west Bank through them. While the location is down a seedy side street, it is close to a supermarket and some local food joints. For the money, it is OK.
Cons: I had thought I was booking the more famous Bob Marly hostel in Luxor, but I guess these guys are capitilizing on the same name. It was down a seedy side street, and the WiFi was very slow (but the WiFi issue I think is common in Egypt.)

Pros: The owner is a great person. The best stay till now highly recommended

Cons: The locals were very persistent and every 2 meters you get harassed by people saying they work in the hotel/restaurant and they want to take you to the market. These markets they dont have fixed prices and they are way over priced.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice reception area and rooms.
Cons: No sealed water bottles in the room or breakfast area. Basic breakfast. WiFi was not working. Tours arranged by the agent in the lobby were quite expensive and since WiFi was not working we had no option but to book with them.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, friendly staff, also the breakfast is quite good. The hotel is not far from the train station and the museums.
Cons: The dinner isn’t that good, it’s tasteless.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was great! But you get what you pay for. It felt dated and grimy. They beds needed to be replaced about 7 years ago. The pool was great, but they use the term “pool bar” very loosely. The bar and “pool bar” staff were fantastic, but the front desk staff could take some lessons. And the travel agents inside the hotel were a little too pushy starting the second we walked in the door, still holding our bags and tired from traveling all day.

Pros: Breakfast was OK
Cons: No water in room No coffee, no sugar etc. Cleanliness was bad. Services were really poor. No one to attend your phone call.

Pros: location is gd, rm is clean and nice. breakfast is expectable. staff are helpful.
Cons: breakfast can be better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast food was great, it varied each day, it was plentiful. Staff were friendly, I enjoyed sharing my 30-40 words of Arabic with their 30-40 words of English. I wish there had been more local Egyptian music played in the cafeteria and other places rather than the boring uninteresting music that was played that could have been from most anywhere. Having a safe in the room made us feel secure, especially when we realized that our terrace door did not lock. A/C worked great. Pool was super after hot days seeing the wonders of ancient Egyptian civilization.

Pros: This is a lovely hotel just packed with history. The staff could not have been more helpful or kind; my room was perfect. I wish I could have stayed here longer to enjoy the gorgeous garden. Can’t comment on the restaurants, as the only meal I ate here was breakfast, which was absolutely fine. Hope to come back soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent hotel with a history. The location is perfect with a nice view on the river Nile and very close to the center. The hotel 'breathes' luxury and exclusivity. The hotel being a historic place adds to the experience. I love the old victorian style with the high ceilings and chandeliers. It also has a spacious and beautifull garden with an open air restaurant.
Cons: The old style might not be for everyones taste, and as a casual dresser I felt a bit out of place sometimes. But that didn't seem to bother the nice staff who treated me with all respect and great service. Also when looking at some details, (mainly on the oustside, drainpipes and elevator) there could be bit more attention to maintenance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The region is not so good. When I walked outside to a nearby ATM, I was approached by a local guy trying to sell his boat trip. After I said I have no interest, he was just following me all the way and asking me for money. He only stopped when I was back to the hotel. Also be careful about the taxi in the region. We took a taxi to airport from the hotel and we agreed with the driver to pay 250 EGP. But we approached airport, he was about to drop us off at a gate that was 10min walk from the airport, and he insisted us to pay him 50 EGP more to drop us off at the airport. That was 10pm at night. Worried about safety we paid him 300EGP. That was not much money, but the experience was really bad.

Pros: Simply wonderful! A transition to far more elegant times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else. My room was $104 AUD. That wouldn't book me a hovel in Australia.
Cons: The lift is old school and very noisy when it stops and starts. Plus it has a swinging door that bangs. I had a room not far from lift and a large group checked in early morning so constant banging meant I had to stay up till 2 am while they all good sorted. I love that it is old, classic with history and great value but maybe a new elevator is in order, or maybe oil the existing one.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent gardens and pool area. Splendid hotel to chill out for two days. Good location within walking distance to restaurants and the souk. Nice breakfast on the patio overlooking the gardens.
Cons: Cost of drinks and laundry were a little high but commensurate with good hotels.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning grounds created an oasis of tranquility and beauty.
Cons: Vendors assail you almost immediately at the hotel exit. This was the experience in Luxor but repeated throughout many of Egypt's tourist areas. luxor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was really amazing. Don't even think about another place. You can walk to luxor temple in 5 minutes, gardens are spectacular. Pool incredible, good breakfasts and the cleanest hotel. They clean the room twice a a day, it's immaculate! Thank you for the very best time. Luxor and Eygpt is incredible. I travelled alone as a woman and felt safe at all times!
Cons: It was amazing there was nothing I didn't like!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, excellent and relaxing surrounding with lovely garden and pool area. Access to the legendary Old Winterpalace hotel and its services was most enjoyable. Will definitely return when next time in Luxor.
Cons: Could not find a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool, silence, good value
Cons: The constant hassle from people outside the hotel trying to sell you services. They shouldn’t be allowed to stand there. Extremely annoying.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. View was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the pool
Cons: Nothing to think of
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Clean, 5 minute walk to Luxor temple. Staff are friendly and kind. It's in the old gardens of the place of Eygpts last King. It's gardens are stunning, pool beautiful and a good size. It's elegant and amazing value for money. It's the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in, cleaned twice a day. It shares the same grounds and pool, bar etc as the Winter Palace. If you are happy to have the most beautiful garden view rather than the nile go for Pavillon you won't regret it!
Cons: Nothing! Taxis outside are a pain and insistent, but if you ignore them they give up eventually. This is not the hotel though, just outside and they are outside every hotel in Luxor. So not a negative for the hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Located on the grounds of the Winter Palace, sharing the garden, pool and outdoor bar and restaurant facilities without the price of the Sofitel attached. Very good food and beautiful area.
Cons: It’s a bit older in look, and there’s a bit of a stale smoke smell in some rooms, but for the price and location it’s hardly something to be upset about.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is an oasis in hot and crazy Luxor. Great gardens and pool area. Location and access to town and sights was perfect. Staff very helpful and went out of their way including a flowers on the bed
Cons: Very little to say other than flies were a nuisance and hair dryer did not work

8.8 Excellent
Pros: the hotel is located in a very good location, near to Nile, Luxor Museum and the big market close to the train station also the upper terrace is just amazing, it makes you feel the Egyptian vibration while you are enjoying the food
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I like the location of the hotel behind Luxor temple, near the boat station going to west bank, near the market and near to luxor train station. The balcony has a good view, you will take your breakfast in the balcony with a beautiful scenery in the morning (the hot air ballon in the west bank) , nile river and luxor temple.
Cons: No slippers in the room and sometimes no electricity for few minutes not only in the hotel but in luxor area because i experience also a brownout in McDonald while i’m taking my lunch (mcdo is near luxor temple)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property was a great experience, exactly what you want to feel when traveling to see the ancient city of Thebes. The rooftop seating allows for a jaw dropping view of the Temple, Nile and the Mountains. I would stay here every time. They also organized great trips for us and the value was fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Very comfortable room, good simple hotel but with everything you need. Location is perfect, could not be better. The roof terrace is probably the best part, beautiful place to chill, eat, have a drink, watch the sunset or sunrise. I would stay here again if I come back to Luxor. Staff are really nice and helpful. all of them especially Mostafa at the reception.
Cons: Zero complaints but if they had a swimming pool it would be really perfect.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved this location. Very central. Right across the street from Luxor Temple and a quick walk to the ferry to go to the West Bank. Has a very nice rooftop patio and pool too. Also the market is right there too. They were very accommodating and helped with any questions we had.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing. They really did the best job to make their customers happy. Even included later check out for us. Also, they went to station to buy tickets for us. The breakfast was okay and if asked we could get more food.
Cons: I did not like the prices that hotel offered for attractions. I think they are way, way too expensive. I mean 10$ ride for 1km from hotel to see Karnak temple.. and 40$ to visit other side of luxor which in reallity costs 15$. Also I would prefer if staff could learn English a little bit better.. but, everything else was fine.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location! Luxor Temple and the Avenue of Sphinxes was literally across Susanna Hotel, and beautiful views of the Valley of the Kings and the hot air balloons at sunrise. Luxor Train Station is a short walk from the hotel too. The souk of Luxor is just one block behind the hotel. Plenty of traditional bakeries and felafel shops nearby; there's even a McDonalds at the next block. The staff are very friendly, especially the always smiling Mohareb who spoke English well and attended to our every need and inquiry. Because our train to Cairo was late at night, they allowed us to extend our stay in the rooms for $20, rather than check out at 11am; this allowed us to rest and shower before our overnight train journey.
Cons: Our biggest disappointment was there was no free WiFi in the rooms. Wifi in the rooms was for pay, although I don't know if that promises a good connection. The only free WiFi was in the lobby, but that also didn't work, so I had to use my mobile data. The restaurant service was very slow, whether for breakfast and for any meals, so beware, you might miss your appointments as you wait for your food to come. If you want the room cleaned or towels changed, make sure to hang the 'please clean my room' sign on the doorknob.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view at Luxor Temple and the great sunset. Early morning you also see the balloons flying from your balcony. Breakfast is served on the top floor and the view is great. Make sure to book your room facing the temple.
Cons: The noise on the street and the fact that they don't have heater in the room. Be prepared to wear warm clothes inside when you go there during winter season.
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: It was awful. The hotel was very nice one many years ago - I stayed there 4 or 5 times. Now it is completely different. They don't have hot water in the morning as they try to save their expenses for electricity. Even the key to the room, which switches on the light in the room worked with huge problems. The "free wi-fi" in the lobby had a terrible connection and was a real torture. If you want the wi-fi in the room you should pay $2 per hour. When you come to the breakfast at 9.30 (half of an hour before the announced end of the breakfast) you can find the area empty because none waits you. How could you imagine thew reply of the staff "everything is finished already"? And, at the end, you have one towel for a room for two persons. The staff is very lazy, very slow and some of them have huge problems with English. So, I highly NOT recommend the hotel to anybody.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was great and the view on the upper rooms only is great
Cons: The phone number provided in the application no answer, The air-conditioner in one of two rooms needs repair, swimming pool & the restaurant in the roof out of service.
8.5 Excellent
Cons: Bad pressure in shower
10.0 Excellent
