In a great location to get to Machu picchu. We was allowed to store our bags all day.
The lady on the desk did not speak any English even though on here it stated that the hotel spoke our language but with respect our Spanish is basic but she could have been a little more helpful. The room was basic but good enough for us although your right on top of the train station where Peru and inca rail are stopping and starting their trains till 11 o clock at night.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The beds are comfortable!
Right next to train station so it can be very loud in the morning.
We stayed in two properties in Aguas Calientes during our trip; this being the second. The bed was excellent and the value for money was competitive for the area. The wi-fi worked well, the shower was hot; overall it was a very comfortable stay. The owners of the properties gave us some good, honest tips for our day trip to see Machu Picchu. And you can't stay much closer to the train if you have an early one to catch in the morning! I looked at a room on the 2nd floor and another on the 3rd; we went for the 3rd floor to get a better view of the mountain (2nd floor has some electrical wires in the street in the way): nice view to wake up to!
In terms of facilities it looks like the room adjacent to the lobby may still be under construction or used for another purpose, but it would be nice to make use of the space with tables and chairs for breakfast. Instead the breakfast was prepared and ready in paper sacks in the morning (in case you wanted to take it on the go; but also to make it easier to take it back to your room to eat). The location is a plus & a minus: close to the train is extremely convenient, but at times can be a little noisy: it wasn't a huge problem as we spent most of our time enjoying the city, but worth knowing about in advance.
Excellent location. The staff gave us great sightseeing advice
No breakfast room. Breakfast itself could use some improvement.
very helpful. we were given a packed breakfast. we can eat while waiting for the crazy long queue for bus to machu picchu
