Riad Daria

Beautiful property, kind and helpful staff, gorgeous room, helped me when I got sick, got my purse repaired, delicious breakfast, extremely responsive to every single thing that I asked for -- and I ask for a good amount of things. I am also the most picky more sensitive most demanding kind of client that you could ever imagine. Location is great as it is just off the Main Street so you get none of the noise (Riad Daria is SO peaceful and quiet!), but it's always easy for taxis and car services to find you. Note: This is a SMALL property. There is a pool but it is tiny - not really a true pool. It is not spacious, but there are two spacious suites (I prefer the one downstairs). If you want a place with TV's and big hotel amenities, this is not for you. I don't care about those things. What I DO care about is that I am heard when I request something, that I am treated kindly and asked how things are going and asked if there is anything that I need, and that when I answer, those things are taken care of for me. This is what I experienced here. I agonized over where to stay in Marrakech this last time I was there because the places I'd previously liked were taken and I couldn't find anything that worked for me. I was SO relieved to find this Riad, but concerned when I read other reviews. Now that I've been here, I don't understand the complaints. When I return to Marrakech, I truly hope that this will be available as I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

There was a slight musty smell in the room. It may just be because it is so old... I was able to buy a candle and it really didn't bother me at all after that. It was only detectable when entering the room from outside. The night manager didn't speak English or French. I told them that this is a big problem, as it's difficult to get what you need during those late hours. They hired him because they liked him and felt he needed a job -- out of kindness. I LOVE things that are done out of kindness --- from the heart -- but in this case it's problematic for clients so this needs to be fixed. There are some little tiny style issues, from an aesthetic standpoint, that could be better but most people wouldn't even notice. Some of the decorative pillows could be better quality and would make things look better as a whole. Seriously I am grasping at straws here! Almost everything is lovely here!

Mohammed and his staff was very friendly and would be happy to go over and above to ensure the stay was as perfect as possible. The hammam was exceptional and certainly recommended if you stay here. The location we thought was very good as it’s just outside the Medina but still in a very busy and traditional part of Marrakech. We thought Marrakech was amazing and will certainly return soon and also stay at Riad Daria again as you feel so comfortable in this Riad

I always like to have tea and/or coffee making facilities in the room but unfortunately this wasn’t available.

It's a must! This hidden gem is located in the area of the Kasbah mosque. You have the Marrakech vibe just outside the door and once you step into the beautiful Riad Daria it feels as if you are stepping into another world. Mohamed and his wonderful team welcomed us with open arms and we feel as if we became part of the family. The decor of the Riad is simply AMAZING (as I told Mohamed "I want to live here forever!"). One of the days we decided to stay in and just hang out at the Riad. I could not resist trying out the Hammam and I'm glad I did! Best Hammam ever with the fantastic Naima. I would come back every week if I could. Mohamed and his team had also arranged a lovely romantic Morrocan lunch at the roof terrace. We feel blessed. THANK YOU! We truly enjoyed every minute at Riad Daria and will for sure return in the future.

Hanane was an amazing hostess. Helped us with excursions and drivers. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so friendly. The Riad was perfect and in a lovely safe location. The staff were all friendly and helpful - always smiling. We had a meal on arrival which was delicious and breakfast every day. Also great. We loved it here

The Riad is very quiet, which we really appreciated. However other. Guests complained that we were too loud when we were eating our meal on arrival. It was 11pm and we were just chatting at normal volume. This is not a reflection on the Riad staff, but it is useful to know that this is not a place for parties
