Car was clean and relatively new.Cons:
Car had no gas in it when picked up. (Red light on). One of the wheels didn’t have air pressure with pressure notification light on at pick up. No credit was given when car was returned with Kore than half tank more at return. Credit card info was stolen from the system by someone who was trying to charge the card for other purposes.5.2 Fair

The car did sit all of the people that we had in our party, but, we were not informed that you cannot have anyone under the age of 12 sitting in the front middle seat.Cons:
When we arrived, they did not have our car available, even though we had a reservation. Our plane was delayed and their response was well you were not here at the time of the reservation. We had to wait an hour for a vehicle and nobody explained the huge price increase for insurance coverage until we were picking up the car.2.0 Poor

Car was very beat up. Tires were bald. Had a blowout on one and since we were outside of DF we had to buy a used tire and pay for the replacement. Radio volume didn’t work. Springs poking through the seats due to wear. Ended up paying $125/day USD with insurance. Wouldn’t have minded the cost if it was a well maintained or newer vehicle.5 locations in Mexico City

1. Drop off Staff was fast but checked the car 3 times to try and find dents or scratches to charge extra for. 2. After driving 1.5 hrs out of the city, the Key FOB started to malfunction and was sporadic in sending the single to start the car or lock/unlock the doors. This was anxiety producing as we were traveling for several days outside of the city. 3. Tire pressure light was on constantly 4. Car felt cheap even though it was a full-size sedan. 5. Car lacked power to merge on/off highways well and could barely make it up steep hills.4.0 Mediocre

I strongly recommend against renting a car from this location. I recently rented from this location and couldn't regret it more. I'm an Avis Preferred member who frequently rents cars for both business and personal travel in the US and abroad. I've rented cars in Jordan, Turkey, South Africa, and Georgia among other countries (just to offer some perspective). I waited over an hour at this location to receive my rental, which caused me to have to cancel plans; and on my return it took another forty-five minutes, which caused my taxi fare to double in price while I waited. The act of picking up a rental should never cause a customer to have to cancel appointments. Unfortunately, this isn't the worst of it. Upon my return, the employees claimed damage to a tire -- a "bump in the rubber" to be precise. The tire was is perfect working condition; again, the tire was not flat. When inspecting the vehicle before taking possession, the employees did not mention a need to inspect the tires, even after I prompted confirmation that we had reviewed all the necessary components of the vehicle. To summarize, the employee with whom I inspected the vehicle told me we'd covered everything and it was not necessary to inspect the tires, but upon return they changed their story and claimed damage. I had fortunately purchased full insurance (which absurdly tripled the cost of the rental), so this claim is of minor detail to me at this point. But I write this review to caution others from renting here, as I suspect that the employees will invent damage in order to charge you additional fines. The entire exchange seemed very much a scam, so consider your rental carefully and if possible, go elsewhere for a car in Mexico City. A final note: Avis Customer Service, whom I called to speak with about this experience, had little to say and offered nothing in the way of remedying this experience of mine. When renting from a known company, one expects consistent experience regardless of city or country, otherwise, I'd just rent from a locally-owned company and pay less. In short, I'd recommend another rental company altogether.7.6 Good

Hertz staff are quite unprofessional, disrespectful and uninformed. Besides charging me almost twice as much due to out-of-the-blue fees (including "hotel fees," and a supposed sales tax of 64%, which was further taxed at the end), when I requested to talk with the manager, the sales person said he was needed at some other location, which was evidently false as I could confirm when I said I could wait. The manager refused to talk with us, notwithstanding the fact that he was there the whole time. By the time we left having paid an excess of 40 dollars, the office was crowded with upset customers who Hertz staff were ignoring.12 locations in Mexico City

When we arrived at the address for dollar, there was a rental place called firefly (never heard of them). They said my car was ready, but that the insurance was 100% over the rental price, and that there was no other way. So, a 900 rental was 1800x obviously trying to take advantage of us because of the dates. They said my booking did appear on their system but the price was other than the one stated. When I started arguing with them, a manager was called, and he said he could lower it a couple of dollars. I did not fall for their scam, and left without a car; I preferred to call an uber. Never again will I rent with either company, and you should be aware, they are using your app to scan people.3.2 Poor

Car given was not what we reserved. I reserved a suburban and got a Ford Explorer after waiting 2.5 hours for the suburban to show up and had my 80 year old Mother with meCons:
They charged me $230 US per day insurance. A major rip off as the insurance was more then the vehicle rental. Would NOT recamend and I’m sure I’ll get no response to my issues2.0 Poor
