If you’re on holiday with your family, we can recommend Hotel Ilunion Mijas on Carretera De Fuengirola A Mijas, only about a mile from the town centre. The Zoological Garden Fuengirola and Castillo Monumento Colomares are tourist attractions within about 4 miles of the hotel. If you want to take the kids out to the Crocodile Park, it’s just under 8 miles away as well.

The Hostel El Escudo de Mijas is the best choice for budget accommodation. It’s on Calle Trocha De Los Pescadores, which is a mere hundred yards or so from the centre of the town. You’ll also be within walking distance of two of the town’s most notable landmarks, Mijas Plaza de Toros and Plaza de la Constitucion.

Set away in splendid seclusion about 3 miles from the centre of Mijas is the 4-star Eurostars Mijas Golf And Spa. It’s a 30-minute drive from Malaga Airport, and you can drive to Puerto Banus and Puerto Banus Marina in about 40min. The Picasso Museum is also accessible from this hotel.

For one of the closest hotels to the airport serving Mijas, Malaga Airport, book through KAYAK at Vik Gran Hotel Costa Del Sol. It’s about 7 miles outside the town itself, and the hotel is only about 16 miles from the airport. Playa de Calahonda beach is roughly 2 miles away, so you can easily reach the coastal resort area.

You can more or less stay right on the beachfront at Holiday World Resort. All the main beaches are within 2 or 3 miles of the hotel. The closest two are Viborilla Beach and Torreblanca Beach. You can just as easily reach Los Boliches Beach and Carvajal Beach as well. For some nightlife, Casino Torrequebrada is 3 miles away.
