4.0 Mediocre
While I understand that space in NY is an issue, these were the tiniest rooms I've seen since my European travels. They were also in a poor state. The bottom bathroom shelf was broken and had broken a tile and the handles on the drawers/cabinet were loose. There were issues with the elevators during our entire stay. Only 2 elevators for 27 floors and 1 was broken for about half of our days. I understand that these are mostly things that cannot be changed but just to give anyone planning a stay here an idea of what they will need to deal with.
2.0 Poor
The location was great but the room was very small and had a lot of issues. The curtain was broken, only half of the AC unit works and the shower pressure was awful. After bringing these issues to the front desk, an employee was sent to take a look but could not fix any of the issues; but nothing was done. They did not move our room, they did not give us a discount, just simply “I’m sorry, don’t worry we will fix them for the next guest”.
7.7 Good
Cons:Location could have been better Rooms could use updating
7.4 Good
Pros:Great location
Cons:EVERYTHING IS SMALL. Small rooms, small elevators. Just Small. Clean but Small
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:This hotel is good location
Cons:The elevator
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:It was near majority of my attractions!! Subway was nearby!!
6.0 Okay
Pros:It's located close to Penn Station and subway lines, between 6th and 7th Avenues, and an easy walk to Times Square.
Cons:The hotel is wedged into the middle of a busy block. There are only 2 elevators which have to be shared among guests and employees trying to clean the rooms. Going up and down at peak periods requires a lot of patience. As well, the room is very small (though likely ok by New York standards). With two of us and suitcases, it was a very tight squeeze around the room. The A/C fan blows freezing cold air, while under the blankets, you sweat.
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Great service. Luggage service is organized. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Location was perfect. Warm chocolate chip cookies!
5.4 Fair
Pros:I booked this hotel because of its location.
Cons:The hotel did not have the room I was upgraded to. The hallways and the room offered to me looked well used and not particularly clean. And, there were no hot water at the hotel. I decided against staying in and moved to a different hotel.
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:1, value for money 2. location 3. quiet by NY standards 4. Gym 5. free WI-FI 6. coffee machine in room 7. safe in room
Cons:1. no complimentary water bottle (this should cost the hotel no more than $0.20 / bottle) 2. I am a Hilton's Rewards member, but because I booked through Kayak, I did not get credited by Hilton for my points for the stay. Also, I normally would get high speed internet through my Hilton's Rewards, but that too, was not available. I find the above two items annoying for a frequent traveler & petty on Hilton's part. With the plethora of hotel options in NYC, it is just too time consuming not to use a "hotel search engine".
