problem with elevators
The location was great because it was close to Central Park, the theater, and Times Square. I also liked that it was conveniently located to the Subway!
More accessibility to drinking water.
Staff was rude, room was not clean. U can never reach anyone from front desk. I ordered delivery and it took me forever to finally receive my order. The staff called up to ask me to go down to pick up the order and when i did , they all said didn’t see the delivery and finally someone called up again after I called to complain and even tried to lie saying that the food just arrived. And he didn’t even apologise. The website didn’t mention that the outlook was being renovated and the elevators were not functioning and super slow.
The ratings for this place was highly misleading. I travel to NYC for work quite often, and this place was one of the worst experiences I have had. The staff were particularly unfriendly. It lacked basic facilities, and the lobby and common areas were poor. Location was good but you can get much better deals around this location at this price tag. Not recommended choice in NYC.
We loved the location because it was so central to everything. Out the door-Central Park to your left, Times Square to your right (you can see it!) and a wonderful deli on the next corner. Grab and go breakfast, they’ll pack a lunch for you-grab a slice of cheesecake on your way back to your room at night. Carnegie Hall across the street. Wonderful location!
It’s renovated but they aren’t maintaining it. Broken elevators, terrible air conditioners, musty smell. We stayed for 3 nights, in three different rooms. First one, broken air conditioner, flooded the carpet! Second one, broken air conditioner, 77 degrees ALL NIGHT! Had to open door to pull in cooler air from the hallway! Third room, no issues. Such a shame—we were so excited about the property based on the photos and location. Came home and read the reviews for the same period of time we were there and they are all spot on! We were fortunate to have no kid gear or too many bags. We became efficient at packing up and moving each time!
