The location was convenient and close to the major intersections and food and social places. The staff was nice and the process of checking in and out was quick and smooth.

WORST HOTEL IN CHARLESTON
Booked my room with kayak, and prepaid. When I arrived to the hotel, I wasn't allowed to check in without prepaying for my room.... showed her my charge/confirmation email and told her I would leave a card for incidentals. She charged my card a second time anyway. This is a company card and now I have to answer to my boss about why there are two charges and I have no receipt. Asked to speak to the manager, she said he would be back in 10 minutes and would call my room. That never happened. Had to get new keys twice because the first two sets weren't even activated correctly. Took longer than it should have because the front desk clerk was more concerned with singing and dancing around. I was the 3rd person to need new keys while I was checking in. Upon check out, I asked for a receipt to show what I was actually charged and was told "they don't do that". The entire hotel is an absolute mess, boxes and renovations everywhere, and it reeks of paint. There was no manager available upon check out, so I am still stuck with both charges on my card and no one can be bothered to call me back or rectify the situation. The amazing breakfast they brag so much about was yogurt and fruit, no juice or waffle mix or hot items - there wasn't even bread to make toast... and front desk seemed unphased about people asking for refills on these items. kayak customer service called the hotel about the issue and got the same attitude I received when I was present. 10/10 do not recommend.
