Pros:We stayed at Atlas Sky the night before an early flight. It's proximity to the airport, shuttle service, and clean modern facilities gave it potential for a great stay. Upon checking in, the very helpful woman at the front desk told us she had upgraded us to a junior suite and asked that we provide a good online review in exchange. I would have, if only the stay had been somewhat decent. The room was nice.
Cons:We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Beware of when it is open - it closes multiple times throughout the day, so plan ahead. The food was mediocre and the service slow. Breakfast the next morning was pure chaos. Despite plenty of staff, essential details (glasses, silverware, plates) were constantly missing and ignored until enough people begged for plates to put their food on. My husband experienced food poisoning following our meals there. The only time he and I consumed different things was the two meals at Atlas Sky. However, the worst part of our stay happened at about 1 a.m. when we were awoken by someone entering our room. It was dark, so we couldn't see faces, but judging by the raucous laughter, it was multiple people, male and female. We yelled in fear and surprise and the people immediately backed out of our room and left. No more than 30 seconds later, our room phone rang. It was the front desk, apologizing that their colleague had entered the room. The excuse was that he was supposed to be entering the room next to ours. I understand that sometime guests can be given wrong keys, but based on the front desk's explanation, this seemed like a staff member who was partying with others in the middle of the night. This is totally unacceptable. About an hour later, our room phone rang again, waking us up yet again. The next morning as we were checking out, we expressed dissatisfaction that someone had barged into our room in the middle of the night. Those working the front desk were not apologetic in the slightest. They responded with "well we gave you a suite" like that made up for what happened. If I had known my options were a regular room or being terrified because someone was entering my room int he middle of the night, I'd have turned down the upgrade.
Pros:The location the shuttle service. The place was clean and good amenities.
Cons:Could use better and larger bathroom towels and more than one per person would be nice. Also the air conditioning in the room wasn't good
Cons:Only one person behind desk at both evening, night and morning i was there--she was helpful but often helping others. Room service dinner mediocre. Breakfast fine. Pillows lumpy.
