I used to snort at people with their list of "must go places in their lifetime", but after staying here, this has become one of the closest thing to a "Must go list" in my mind. Conclusion: if you upset your girl somehow, and she doesn't accept your apology, bring her here, ask for her forgiveness after a good dinner and bath. Ultimate guide to how to apologize properly. Anyway. Great food, great wine selection and liquor in the room. Nothing that I could complain. Some of the turnips were a bit spicy, but that's personal taste, and we DO have excellent white radish in Taiwan, so... Yeah. Breakfast was satisfying, dinner was great, and the Crème Brûlée was perfect. I also very much enjoyed the Apéritif and the Sherry they provided in the room. The room was also very comfortable with a wonderful view. The next door neighbor and I visited each other, and his room looked awesome as well. A very comfortable bath tub and shower (though the water did spray out a bit in the showers), and the soap and shampoo they provided was also very good smelling. The only thing I regret was not staying long enough to enjoy the hotel to it's fullest. PS. I don't have a girlfriend. So the apology part, take it at your own risk, eh?
If I had to nitpick, it was the shower pouring out a bit that resulted in wet slippers, and the temperature of the water fluctuated a little bit. Also, it's a long way up the hills towing a luggage almost half my weight. With slippery stone and everything... But hey, it's a castle. It's not meant to be in the middle of the town. So... no. No major issues
The bed was like a cloud. Only stayed 1 night will stay here again 2 night for sure.
Property was able to be fully explored and the scenery is beautiful.
They should have a shuttle to take you up and down the mountain. I went up and down it 3 times in a day.
Our entire experience as wonderful. The photos of the rooms do not do the rooms justice. Simply a fabulous place to stay and enjoy some rest and relaxation....or a great central location from which to take day trips in the surrounding area.
That we only stayed two nights.....should have stayed longer.
The setting, the room, the service, the history, the restaurant
There was nothing I didn’t like
