Needs to be more clear about parking. Is there a valet stand? Do we leave everything with the desk? Wasn’t clear on arrival.
Great location, poor customer service
The hotel is in a great location. It is a short walk from Elgin Street and Bank Street, where there are great shops and restaurants. Very convenient.
When we arrived, there was no power in the hotel. Of course this is not their fault, but we weren't even informed by the concierge when checking in, it was the teenage doorman who told us that there was no power. Not a great first impression. When they checked us in, they sent us to an occupied room which was absolutely mortifying. The next morning we woke up and noticed that there was a blood stain on the top sheet.. that was not from my partner or I. We immediately called and asked for the sheets to be changed, and informed them we were heading out for the rest of the day. When we returned back to the hotel hours later, the sheets had not been changed. Totally disgusting. The next morning my partner decided to stay in Ottawa one extra day, and wanted to stay in the room an extra night (it was close to everything and his stuff was already there). When we went downstairs to pay the extra charge, they took an ADDITIONAL deposit. Totally ridiculous as they still had a deposit from the first two nights. Definitely would not stay here again! The location was great but there were far too many issues.
I liked the Hotel, loved that there were glasses and not plastic cups in the room and bathroom
Staff were very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
A little worn
Glass of wine in the evening was nice.
Lack of curtain or window screen. Only a blackout shade was available so either your window was open for two very close buildings to peer into or your room was dark. Also the hotel was a little worn and the carpet needed a shampoo.
ok but not great
A little dated...forgot shampoo in room, cleaning staff were socializing when I got to room..forgot to replace many items in room.
overall my stay was good. I had a great time and t
The bed was firm and comfortable.
The limitation in variety of food at the restaurant.
The design in the room. The comfy bed. The location
The staff could not speak French. The room was obviously cleaned too fast the bed was poorly made and the bathroom was a bit dirty. There was a lot of dust on the furniture. There was no terrasse and no pool. There was no recycle bin in the room. The strong chemical perfume in the lobby.
Great value (except for the food prices)
Great value for the price. Friendly staff and nice rooms. Perfect for a solo traveler. Excellent location right by Parliament.
None of the dining options were very affordable, and breakfast is not included.
