Shadow Mountain Resort

Shadow Mountain Resort & Club was the original Palm Desert Resort. Established in 1946, this resort has been part of the area’s history for many years. Their own facilities have helped create a resort destination for Palm Desert, known for offering year-round golfing, tennis, and relaxation in a variety of accommodations. The resort offers private villas for guests and elite tennis facilities on site, including the award-winning Desert Tennis Academy and 16 professional courts for guest use. This resort is also home to the well-known Figure 8 Pool and Spa, in addition to three other on site pools, five hot tubs, a golf course, and two restaurants.

The Shadow Mountain Resort & Club offers a variety of guest accommodations in 125 studio rooms, villas, and private condos that are perfect for weekend getaways or extended stays. Fully equipped kitchens come standard in all units, which also offer complimentary WiFi, separate living and dining areas, in-room coffee, and climate control. Upgraded villas offer fireplaces and washers and dryers in the unit, as well as 1,400 square feet of living space. Many of the guest rooms offer private balconies and patios.

Shadow Mountain is just two blocks from El Paseo, offering an easy walk to the area’s most famous shopping destination. Downtown Palm Desert is also within walking distance, offering local culture, dining and shopping, and a variety of events, attractions, and festivals throughout the year. There are over 100 golf courses near the hotel, as well as plenty of other outdoor activities to enjoy.
