The staff was very friendly and our room was quite cute dated but cute. We also had a great street view.
Our room had a major bathroom issue, there was no curtain or door on the bath tub. The floor was tile so water went all over the floor and was quite slippery. So we had to mop it after showers. They didn’t have another room for us to stay so they just gave us towels to mop up. The staff, except the manager, were very apologetic and had told us the hotel would give us an adjustment on our stay. On check out day we finally met the manager and he wasn’t eager to help us he’s could only give us 10 euros off a day. I would have loved to give this place a great review. They also messed up on our shuttle service and that was a complete nightmare. We got to the airport just as we had to board the plane.
The corridors were beautifully decorated as was the breakfast room. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent (and good value compared to local cafés ). Eventually our problem was resolved. The hotel is value for money for the location.
The room was tiny. The first morning the fuse blew so no sockets had power. This was fixed quickly. However, a leak developed in the bathroom ceiling and although we reported it in the morning nothing had been done by the evening when the bathroom floor was awash. It took two visits to reception before it was agreed that the room had become uninhabitable and we were moved to another (much bigger) room.
Staff were great, breakfast was great, location brilliant, nice clean comfortable bed and an excellent shower.
1 cup in room for 2 people?? Didnt refill tea and coffee for next day, hairdryer packed up after 30seconds of use, room was not what we thought we were getting and advertised.
The hotel was conveniently located near food outlets and shops. There was a bus stop in front of the hotel and the metro station was also within walking distance. Most of the staff were able to converse in English. Although the breakfast buffet spread was limited, the food was nice. The underground cellar provided a cosy ambience for breakfast.
The water supply was cut off for a few hours on two of the days during my four nights' stay. Some of the light switches were not working. One of the bedside lamp in my room was not even there! There was an aircon remote but the aircon did not seem to be working at all. The bar fridge was also not working. The flask for boiling water was dirty. It would be nice if the vanity kit included a toothbrush and toothpaste. The tiny elevator would not be able to fit normal sized wheelchairs.
This location was great for all we wanted to do.
Many things I did not like, but the carpet was the BIGGEST turn off. FILTHY. This place is Veeeeeeeeery old. Room wayyyyy too small only one person can fit in shower or bathroom at a time. No amenities at all. Alley view, No screens on window. I wondered if they just picked the worst possible room and gave it to me!!! Luckily We were able to find something much better. the "Nomad" was great, modern and the best shower ever! It is farther away, but at least they had food and great shuttle service.
