A nice clean comfy traditional room. Staff was friendly and the location was great.
Great location, rooms and service
Great location. The spa was good.
Our room was on the first floor and it sounded as though every toilet in the building was directly above us.
Portland Regency Staff
All of the staff - from valets to room service, desk clerks to lounge staff, housekeeping to spa staff - were friendly, knowledgeable, professional
I loved the location and the hotel/room was very clean.
There was a continuous noise above the bed. It sounded like a pipe clanging. Thank goodness for the sound machine feature on the alarm clock. Also, the bed was very firm with starchy sheets. The terry cloth robe had a large rip in it as well.
The historic Portland Regency Hotel & Spa sits right in the heart of the city’s Old Port neighborhood. Surrounded by a blend of modern and old architecture, cobblestone streets, and an array of shops and restaurants, this boutique property is a great choice for the recreational traveler. Designed to serve as the site for weddings or meetings and events, it is a great choice for business traveler, too.
Less than three miles from the busy Portland International Jetport and part of the Portland Downtown Historic District, the hotel is easy to find and reach. It is steps from Merrill Auditorium and the Portland Observatory, and places visitors within minutes of popular whale watching adventures, ferry rides to Casco Bay, lobster cruises, and even the city’s symphony orchestra. Walk to the Portland Museum of Art, the Children’s Museum, the Portland Observatory, and the scores of cafes, bars, shops, and restaurants that make the city such a hot destination.
Of course, this is a hotel and spa, and that means visitors can use their time at the hotel to relax and recharge through wellness treatments, massages, body and facial treatments, soaks in the Jacuzzi, sauna experiences, time in the fitness studio, and more. There are also several fantastic restaurants to try, including the Twenty Milk Street restaurant and the Armory Lounge. Free shuttles take travelers to different destinations, and all parking is done by the friendly valets.
The hotel has a full array of business services, free high-speed WiFi, laundry services, and even options for pets to stay. The rooms are available in Deluxe sizes with views of the waterfront, as Superior king suites with private decks and sea views, Junior suites, and more. So, whether traveling for business or pleasure, the Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is a good choice.
