Tile, marble, and stucco give the Mexican resort a Mediterranean style Located right on the coast of the Riviera Maya, guests at the luxury, adults-only resort have nine different styles of suites to choose from including the Rooftop Terrace Suites, Ocean-View Suites, Swim-Up Suites and more. The hotel suites offer everything from plunge pools, Jacuzzis, private balconies, and concierge services.

There is no shortage of food options at the Excellence Riviera. The resort offers 10 different international restaurants that guests can opt to dine at nightly. The restaurants feature everything from French to Indian cuisine. Snacks, beverages, and entrees are all available poolside and on the beach. Should guests want to enjoy a meal on a private balcony or in the comfort of the suite, room service is available 24 hours a day.

For guests who want to relax and unwind, there are six different pools, a lazy river. and, of course, sandy beaches of Mexico. Yoga is available on the beach at sun up. Went to Excellence Riviera Cancun for the fourth time and wasn't disappointed as usual. Great service, nice restaurants options and great location. You can walk alone the beach to the nearby town Puerto Morelos 40 min, you can take a multiple tours from the resort if you want to explore the area. Pros (+) Everything was great, nice size - not too large and not too small. All there staff were very pleasant and accommodating. They strive for the best in customer satisfaction.

Pros (+) The facility and people were generally really good. Very compatible to other resorts my wife and I have bee to in the Riviera Maya. This is our 9th trip to Riviera Maya and I believe when most people say this place is top of line they have not been to to many others. You can go to several other hotels and get 100% of what you want, not 90%.
Cons (-) If you like the beach and ocean, then do not go to this resort. Simply horrible! It's a shame because it really is a nice resort but the ocean water is not much better the the New Jersey shore. Very disappointing. You will not even want to go in the water with all the algae and sea weed. If you are strictly a pool person, you will be fine. We will not go back simply due to this issue. We have been...

Pros (+) The room was amazing, as well as the rest of the facility. Everything as clean and easily accessible. The staff was helpful and polite. The stars visibility made you never want to leave.
