Pros (+) Staff is very friendly, pool areas are fantastic, lots of activities available, location is great (walkable to Malecon and downtown PV areas).
Cons (-) Remodeled rooms are very nice (modern, luxurious), but not all rooms have been updated, and those that have not been updated are mediocre at best.

Pros (+) The location of the hotel is excellent. It's close enough to walk to most things and is right on the beach. The pool area was wonderful too. We never struggled to find lounge chairs by the pool. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple but clean which was fine for our stay.
Cons (-) The people in the room next to us stayed out late and were very noisy late at night when they were coming back to their hotel room so the walls must be somewhat thin. The food at the hotel was just ok. I'm glad that we didn't book the all inclusive option for our stay because we would have been tired of the food by the end of our stay. Pros (+) Great location near town easy to get to great restaurants and entertainment. Everything accessible at the property too! Staff great and accommodations comfortable with nice pools. Beach is not good but they are renovating it.

Pros (+) The pool side service we received from Manuel was the only good thing about our stay. He was very attentive, friendly, & fast with our drinks + food.
Cons (-) I absolutely did not care for the pushy time share sales staff that circles around you every time we walked by. You couldn't even avoid them since their stand is right by the lobby & elevator. In addition, their sales tactics were pretty fraudulent. Pros (+) Everyone was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was clean. The rooms were very clean. The view was breathtaking.
Cons (-) The only complaint I have is that we booked a king bed and we got two double beds instead, we tried for two days to switch into a room with a king and gave up. They wanted to put us in a smaller room with no view.
