Pros: Comfortable big room with a pot to make the hot water, shampoo, towels.

Cons: We had the ground level bed room, and this is not the best, with window at the street it is sometime too noisy at night.

The manager held our luggage at no cost after check out. We liked the place so much that we decided to stay again upon our return to the area at the end of the trip.

Pros: The small cottages are mini-vacation homes. Very modern and up to date with wonderful amenities. Check in was easy and everything was explained. Just as the cottages are super clean and beautiful inside, security is also a priority. Each unit has dedicated off-street parking inside an electronic gate. There is an amazing bakery just around the corner--must try!
Cons: Wifi was a little spotty. Better than some places on our trip, but not consistent and not super fast.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a really lovely hostel. The owners are unbelievably helpful and welcoming. Our journey was delayed due to ferry cancellations because of high wind. We were travelling by bus and the bus company estimated we would arrive in Punto Arenas at 5am. We notified the hostel and they said they would be ready to welcome us then. In fact the bus company deposited us in the very cold and deserted town at 3am. We had no alternative to go to the hostel, but they still welcomed us warmly! Breakfast was lovely, the bed was very comfortable with lovely fine cotton sheets and the room was delightful with a small shared living area outside it.
Cons: There was some traffic noise at 3am but none later on and it remained quiet until very late morning (a Sunday).
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Rooms have no sound insulation and you can hear everything. Breakfast could be improved, very essential.

Cons: Everything was fine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really good, very clean place
Cons: breakfeast could be earlier though, we could not have it as we left for the Isla Magdalena tour. I imagine many guests do that, so it could be adjusted (just a sugestion)

Cons: It is a little far from the centre. The laundry service is a bit expensive.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: No
7.1 Good
Pros: Hostel was nice with spacious rooms, TV and Wi-Fi was Ok. Nice breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Location is too far away from downtown.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was clean and reasonably comfortable
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Quiet location, good shower with plenty of hot water, good buffet breakfast
Cons: Creepy, very unsound, stairs and floors make a cracking sound, you can hear the guests next room as if they were directly talking to you, and even as they are speaking in a normal tone of voice, not loud. Some of the staff are not trained enough to deal with extendend bookings appropriately. There are a lack of plates and forks at the breakfast table, I had to go and fetch some everyday in the kitchen myself, because staff was not available. The billing process is insidious and devious, they charge more if you pay in chilean pesos than if you paid with US dollars, because according to them, they have to charge us non residents foreigners a 19% sales tax if we pay in chilean pesos, but not if we pay in US dollars. Now I fully know for a fact that this is pure nonsense, because in reality visitors non residents do not have to pay the sales tax in Chile even if you pay in chilean pesos. I know this for sure because I stayed in lots of other chilean hotels in the past 50 days and never had to pay the 19% sales tax because I am a foreign non resident, and even as I paid in Chilean pesos everytime no other hotel/hostal has ever charged me extra for that. They also charged me US $20.00 extra to wash six items of my clothing, some of them underwear and socks, a ridiculous high amount Then they made the paying process even more cumbersome, I had to fill out an extra form in order to be able to pay in US dollars. Staff should be more adequately trained and ask guests if they wish to stay longer before they rent the room to somebody else.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Room was very clean!
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was really tasty and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean as well.
Cons: The view out the window was of a cinder block wall. The upside is that this meant we could still open our window for fresh air even when the wind was blowing really hard.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The family that owns and operates the place is wonderful. They were very helpful and gave good suggestions as well as helping us arrange transportation. Most restaurants and the main downtown are about a 10 minute walk, but the location itself is very quiet. There is a corner store only a couple blocks away for snacks and drinks. Rooms are clean and quiet.
Cons: Be aware ahead of time that they are cash only and come prepared.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: OMG the breakfast is AMAZING! Everyone is so kind and friendly and helpful. Honestly they cannot do enough for you. It is immaculate and so clean. They let you use the kitchen and can do your laundry. If you don’t stay here you are missing a very comfortable and great night’s sleep!
Cons: N/A
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was a lovely family run hostel with very clean rooms and shared bathroom. The kitchen was good for cooking dinner and there was a nice dining room you could sit and eat in with other people. The staff were very friendly as well and served us a delicious breakfast every morning. A great way to start the day!
Cons: The location was further out of the centre of town than we expected and was quite a walk every day, but would be very convenient for the port and cruise terminal.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and welcoming, it was nice and cosy. The breakfast was amazing! And they made us a packed lunch for our early morning boat trip to see the penguins!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aventura Austral was the perfect place for us at the end of our amazing trip to Patagonia. I thought Punta Arenas would strictly be a stopover city for us, but thanks to our stay here, we had a very memorable time. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us keep our bags there the day that we checked out and helped us arrange transportation to the airport.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, we left our luggage and their waited for us till 22 and help with taxi to the aiport. Clean and spacious room.
9.2 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bed was huge and super comfy, and the service was attentive and very friendly. They set aside a beautiful room with a panoramic view overlooking the city for us (we're on our honeymoon) and when we arrived, there was a little plate of chocolates and a tiny bottle of bubbly waiting for us as well. We spent our last night eating at the restaurant on the Terrace and it was wonderful. A great layover on our way to TDP!
Cons: The walls were a bit thin - you could hear the house creaking at night and the guests shuffling around and sometimes talking to each other.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Probably the best hotel in Punta Arenas
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The food and the bed.
Cons: The narrow, steep steps to our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming room. Great view of the water. Whale watching from the lanai. Restaurant was anunexpected gem.
Cons: Hard to control water temp in shower
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has delightfully quirky furnishings with every corner offering something different and interesting, but the highlight of this property is the staff. I could not have asked for a kinder reception and from check in through to check out everyone could not have been more helpful and they made every effort to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The food was excellent and there was a great choice for both dinner and breakfast. I would heartily recommend this hotel and the staff should be very proud of themselves.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice hotel with a super cozy and warm bedroom. The staff is really paying attention to details and that your stay would be comfortable. They have many types of breakfast and if you have to wake up insanely early to catch a tour (like at 4 am for us) they still give you breakfast which I found pretty amazing. Also the restaurant had an excellent menu and a view of all the city, all the plates were delicious. All the staff was really lovely. We truly enjoyed our stay in la Yegua Loca and we would definitely recommend it to everybody.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, quaint hotel in Punta Arenas. We loved the historical theme of the house. The hotel staff was very helpful. We enjoyed a glass of wine on our terrace overlooking the city and then headed down to the restaurant for a delicious dinner at their restaurant.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We weren’t told about the enormous construction project to double the size of the hotel - it wasn’t until we arrived that we’re told and given the option of a refund on our booking which was no use when it was to late to find somewhere else. Workmen were still welding steel at 8pm and had to wade across mud to get to the hotel and no help offered with luggage and construction staff using the hotel reception and bar as an office....it was really poor show with no apology. We were only offered a 15% discount
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent. The staff was especially awesome, friendly, and attentive.
Cons: My travel partner.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: retro Chilean style room and very warm staff
Cons: front is under construction so taxi can't get in.

Pros: Location, decoration in public areas it's great
Cons: Bathroom ventilation
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Open clean good location
Cons: Not sure
6.7 Good
Pros: The hotel was great although its very obvious they have spent money on the ground floor of the hotel, the entrance, bar and restaurant area. The rooms are sparse and basic but perfectly amenable. Very good shower nice and powerful. The breakfast was plentiful, the bar was great and the bar food was delicious.
Cons: The rooms: if a tiny bit of extra money was spent on the decor in there it would really lift the place.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bar area, the restaurant nd the breakfast
Cons: There is no aircon in the room. You could open the tilt window to let in fresh iar but there was an irritating mechainical noise from somewhere that was loud enough to make you have to close the window. Otherwise all ok.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location Staff
Cons: Breakfast could be improved
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We drove back from Torres Del Paine and stayed here for one night before our flight back to Santiago the next day. It is very conveniently located (right in front of Plaza Armas). There were not a lot of cars, so we could park right in front of the hotel, but they said that they also have an overflow parking lot nearby. The street with all the restaurants (Bernardo O'Higgins) and the street with all the shopping (Carlos Bories) as well as the waterfront are all within very easy walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel is quite good. We had dinner as well as breakfast (included) there.
Cons: There was some street noise (the hotel is right on the plaza), but it quieted down after 8 pm or so.

Cons: Functional
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room, the staff, and the view.
Cons: Internet either not working or slow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and bathroom are both large and well presented.
Cons: There were no facilities in room to make a cup of tea or coffee. The coffee shop in foyer is a separate business and one cannot charge anything to one's room account. That business advertises wine but does not have any. The Sky Bar opens about 6 which is not ideal for those on vacation. Too late.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great view from the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was on high level for that part of the world!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great room. Showers in room spectacular. Staff friendly and professional.
Cons: Showers in spa were nasty.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located close to area with lots of restaurants and short walk to central square. Also in walking distance of wharf to get boat to see penguins. Enjoyed the pool and the gym facilities. Staff generally very helpful. One night we were there the bar at the top had live music which was great. Booked a room with city view and asked for it to be higher up so less noisy. Nicely furnished roomy room with great bathroom.
Cons: On nights where there was no live music in the top floor bar they played taped music films (very loud). Would have preferred it to be more background given it was not live entertainment. Also not a fan of casinos but it could be ignored.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location on the water and close to the city center. Spa and workout room. Rooms were wonderful. On site restaurant far exceeded expectations.
Cons: We booked two junior suites but would have fit in one (king bed and couch).
7.5 Good
Pros: The views are fantastic
Cons: Service was 'fair'
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They offered a nice breakfast

Cons: The coffee at breakfast
7.5 Good
Pros: Central location. The main hotel building looks nice from the outside (not so inside).

7.9 Good
Pros: Good location and friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast wasn't great and the room was pretty small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean rooms, beautiful sunrise view, and awesome breakfast!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice location right next to the Straight of Magellan. Really nice common spaces with great views. Staff were friendly and helpful with everything and the breakfast was nice, lots of options.
Cons: Location is definitely a bit far from the center of town, nice because it feels a little quieter but a bit of a hike with luggage.
7.1 Good
Pros: I would recommend this place for a shared rooms but not for private rooms. The place was clean, warm, with cool common area and with a great breakfast view + choices. The lady at the check in desk was very friendly and welcoming.
Cons: I think I expected more from the reviews on booking. The private family room was very small and pretty cold. Overall it wasn't bad, but definitely the worst accommodation on our "patagonia trip". The breakfast lady could be nicer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The place was always kept nice and warm with heaters. And above the wonderful breakfast, I have to mention how PERFECT the bathrooms were. Seriously it felt like a hotel - the light, the cleanliness, the mirrors. Bravo.
Cons: The guest food needed to be cleared out of old, rotten food. The bowls in the cupboard were still dirty with dry food remnants.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hostel is a little bit away from the main town, but it is so worth the walk. The common room is absolutely stunning. The sofas are so comfortable, it's warm and cosy and the view looks out over the Straight of Magellan where you can see dolphins in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen is fully equiped and clean and the breakfast includes eggs, fruit salad, various breads and toppings and waffle machines! So far, it's the best hostel breakfast I've come across in South America in the 5 weeks I've been travelling and easily the best common area and view. The staff are sper friendly and helpful and I was made to feel very welcome. The rooms are typical dorm style, they are warm and clean the beds are comfy.
Cons: The bathroom could do with an upgrade, but the water was always warm and had great pressure. The rest is so nice that it's easily worth the slightly out of date showers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly and helpful staff. Hostel was very warm and cosy with a great common area and kitchen facilities. Wifi was strong.
Cons: Rooms were a little small once we had two backpacks in there but we only stayed two nights so it was easy enough to manage.
6.3 Good
Pros: Overall- staff behaviour and ambiance.
Cons: Though the location was scenic, no amenities within a radius of 2 kms. Basic breakfast, somedays essentials were not replaced, there would be a scarcity of space in the beautiful lounge area when rooms are full to capacity, minor details were missing which could improve the quality of stay! Oh! no wardrobe- some improvised wall hangers made of iron wires. To sum it up - an average hostel! Nothing exceptional about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is the best one of all hostels in Patagonia. Is spotesly clean and very good organized. Common area as well the best one that i have in Patagonia.
Cons: Location is bit far away.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast, social area, the balcony and location!
Cons: The mattresses weren’t confortable. The staff could have more informacion about the area and what to do.

Cons: The hotel is old fashioned and beautiful from the outside, but for some reason, the facilities on the inside are really old, in need of some refurbishment. The worst part is the price: too expensive for what is offered.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: Overall disappointing experience. The food at the restaurant sucked, the WiFi in the lobby didn’t work, when tried to have a bath the water came out yellow. The noise from the street kept waking me up. Staff at the reception was very competent but nobody spoke English at the restaurant, really. Don’t count on tourist advice either. For supposedly one of the best hotels in town this felt very underwhelming. Not what I expected.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful historic building and great location. Breakfast selection was good but had to actively look for a server and ask for any hot items even though the place was not busy.
Cons: Front desk staffing was insufficient. Nice man but very alone and no back up. Really slow check-in and check-out, no help with luggage, etc. Tiny rooms
6.7 Good
Pros: It’s location
Cons: Antiquated electronics eg card key didn’t work, internet was poor, credit card facility didn’t work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: How would I describe the property lacked in its options historic, and I means that in the most positive way. Fantastic property, well price, great location, great cooked breakfast - what more can you ask for?
Cons: Only there 1 day and night. May return on way out.
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is in a historical site (the Braun house). That, and the Shackleton bar really make you feel like you're in Magellan's territory and VERY far south on the continent! The location is very good as well.
Cons: The room was "tight" but still quite nicely appointed. Also: We were asked to handwrite our credit card numbers on the check-in sheet. I do not know if there is any connection, but within 48 hours my credit card had been compromised and shut-down by the financial institution (no one else in my party had an issue though). Advice: just refuse to fill it in; especially if they already have the number from a booking.com prepaid arrangement.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: Breakfast was very limited and quite disappointing. Terrible coffee
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room
Cons: The restaurant at the hotel was average but service was good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The suite is spacious and cozy
Cons: The staff in reception is a bit cold
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff. Great location on the town square. Historic building so standard rooms are small, but nicely remodeled. Easy town to walk around.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Deceiving from the outside but modern and beautiful decorated. Highly recommend this property.
Cons: We loved it, we wish our stay was longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very impressed with these cabins - the location is pretty much walking distance to everything, which is nice. The cabins are beautifully appointed, with every amenity in the bathroom, including a shower that converts to a rainforest shower head. The kitchen contains a small fridge, microwave, stove top, and electric kettle, along with plates, cutlery, etc. Beds are comfy, wifi is good, and there is a cable TV. We were able to park our tall vehicle inside a security gate, which is always a priority for us. The manager was extremely responsive, even allowing us to check in at 10:30pm when we had to take a late ferry from Porvenir.
Cons: The cabin does not have an oven, which we usually love to use when we stay in places, but we understand why. The only other issue was very minor, and involved a very sensitive motion-sensor light that kept going on during the night when windy, which shone into our bedroom window.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very central location so we could walk everywhere we wanted/needed to go. Secure private parking with no height restriction. Very well-appointed rooms and comfortable bed. Good wifi. Very responsive manager - we were able to check in at 10:30pm after arriving on the late ferry.
Cons: Probably the only annoying thing, and it’s minor, is that we stayed in a cabin that faced another cabin, which had a movement-activated light on the front porch. Our bedroom had a window d]facing this light, so it shone inside whenever the light turned on, which was a lot - it seemed a bit sensitive, especially with the crazy wind.

Pros: Friendly staff. Good sized bathroom. Comfortable beds. Decent price for the area. Close to all the historic parts of downtown Punta Arenas. Great old time atmosphere.
Cons: Ask for a room away from the breakfast area if you are planning on sleeping in as it can be a bit noisy. Make a note that there are no elevators if you have super heavy luggage.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good facility. Close to town center
7.1 Good

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice family hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable. And extremely accomodating for early morning excursion departures; they offer breakfast to go that was a ridiculous amount of food (know that one breakfast to go can serve two hungry adults!), and it was ready for us at 5am. The welcome drink is a nice touch, as well! Room was clean, quite large and very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast in the restaurant was pretty mediocre. Stale pastries, not the freshest-looking fruit. But, nobody starved and it was nice that it was included in the rate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service from the moment we walked in at the front desk to when we checked out. Everyone was super friendly, very accommodating and warm. Our room was really nice and a great price too. Just what we needed after a long drive from Torres del Paine. The breakfast was great both mornings, one being super early when being picked up for the all day King Penguin tour. We ate out in town our first night in, but had dinner the second night in your restaurant. It was an amazing meal, along with great wine! If I'm ever down to Punta Arenas again, I will stay there. If anyone I know is visiting there, I will recommend Hotel Rey Don Felipe in a heartbeat. Thanks for the lovely stay!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff in hotel are very friendly and nice. We booked a wrong date as still confused with a time changed; however, staff is willing to change a date for us without any fee. Facilities in hotel was good, hair dryer provided every room. There was a hot/cold water tank for customer to fill. Breakfast was included and excellent.
Cons: a bit too far from main city, walking distance about 10-15 mins. lighting in room was a bit dark.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was ok.
Cons: When i checked it, and went up to the room, it wasnt ready after being told it was. Then i was told to wait 1hr for it to be ready i came back 1hr 30mins later, went up to the room and it was a mess & in a worse state than the first time. When i went back down to reception the lady was very rude and made out like it wasnt her problem. Then they finally gave me a different room with no toiletries and the heater was on full with the thermostat broken off. At dinner in the restaurant it seemed like most of the staff have never worked in the service industry as it took 15mins in an empty restaurant to get a menu. Then i had to walk up to the counter to get someone to take my order, afyer having tried to flag the staffs attention for a solid 10mins. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day!! The rissoto came out cold, after 30mins to "make it".
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly crew, fine and clean room. Perfect location
Cons: -
7.9 Good
Pros: I liked it in general well
Cons: the way in which the kitchen and bar manager told a relative and me that, the rest was closed when there were 5 minutes left, we were not informed that it closed in a very bad way, and leaving us without food for the schedule when we wanted to order the room, zero friendliness and very bad attitude towards travelers and tourists and without giving us any information of where to go or ask for being a very bad hotel experience
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was in the basement with a view of car park. No bottled water provided, no slippers or bathrobes provided but hotel claims to be 4 star. Actually 3 star at most. We were charged a high rates but rooms at check in were available at half the price we paid when booking through Booking.com months before.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, convenient location, friendly staff and a welcome cocktail.
4.2 Okay
Pros: My toom was clean but the toilet tissue holder is broken and left unrepaired. The amount i paid was too much for a facility like this.
Cons: One of the staff who works in the evening was very unfriendly if i approached him w/ wuestions. The breakfast was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean comfortable hotel close to main square. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, the room was clean and nice, and the staff was great.
Cons: Slow wifi.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Best Western Finis Terrae is a nice hotel that's right in the middle of town. Check in was normal as we arrived on an early flight and our room was not ready, the desk held our luggage for us so we could walk around town a little bit. Some of the guys at the desk spoke English. We got back around noon and checked in to a spacious room with a sit ting area, safe, wifi, and an ok sized bathroom that had a tub. Breakfast was included and consisted of fruits, eggs, bacon, breads, some pastries, coffee and juice. The view from the restaurant was very nice as its on the 6th floor and not many buildings obscure is view. The hotel is right in the middle of evening within close proximity of restaurants, money exchange, supermarkets, laundry, stores and tourist sites (all of which we used). Check out was also smooth and they held our luggage again as we didn't have to check in for our cruise until late afternoon so we could go do additional site seeing and shopping.
Cons: The TV was a little fuzzy at times, the desk didn't tell us we needed a safe key so I had to walk back downstairs to get it but these are minor inconveniences.
7.5 Good
Pros: I enjoyed everything from bed to heat to staff. Arrived late, left early. Sorry, no details due to short stay. Maybe it was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great service from the staff, I arrived at 4am and no problem Good breakfast and great location
