The booking.com information once I had booked indicated the hotel would not have credit card facilities- it did and so made paying very easy.

Location
Kid at the front desk is really sweet and accommodating when asked for specific things, but lacks experience and knowledge of what an international traveler might want, e.g. no Spanish ballad music at 6am that may sound soft at the front desk but reverberates throughout an open courtyard building)

Very friendly staff in a colonial style old hotel with a restaurant and very basic breakfast thrown in. Few minutes to the main plaza in the centro historico part of Quito. No frills, but great location. We ended up leaving our bags there while we took excursions to Banos and the Galapagos Islands, very trustworthy which is great.
Took a while for hot water on occasion. Some might find street noisy.
