Beautiful art deco building, so close to the station, yet really good value for money. Friendly English speaking staff and rooms well finished with typical Italian style.
The location was great, right across from the station and a small grocery store. Also the building itself was beautiful and antique-styled. There was some interesting artwork on the walls in our room as well.
The staff were a little bit crazy. We weren't allowed to keep our room keys with us when we left the hotel, and instead had to speak with the front desk whenever we came and went. They also cut our wifi after about 7 days of use for no reason. There was a bit of mildew in the shower, and the cleaning staff cut corners, and some days left us short a few towels. The noise from the street was not blocked out well and made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was scant, consisting of mostly pastries and stale toast. Finally, they scammed us out of extra money by demanding we pay the "city tax" which had already been included in our online booking.
Friendly and caring staff, closed to amenities; most especially the train is just walking distance which was the main source of transport for our family to do all our tours and going to another city
