Location was perfect, didn't need to use public transport. Food was great. Breakfast was included and had a wide choice. Staff were friendly.
The Final price clearly stated "taxes included" on my confirmation e-mail. At the time of checking out I didn't have this information to hand but it is clear from the bill that I have been charged for taxes! I will be taking this up with yourselves and Hotel Indigo next.
We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived. Fantastic room, comfy bed, good coffee. Service was great and breakfast a good choice. Hotel is a fab location down cobbled streets, quiet but 5 mins from the Vatican.
Room was a little cold and the heating hadn’t been put on yet - but not enough to spoil our stay
Staff, service, situation close to many well known sites and history of building going back several centuries
Nothing to not like. Had stayed there before and lived up to all expectations from previous visit
The location is wonderful, everything at walking distance. The roof terrace, with the bar and restaurant, is great. The food at the restaurant is very good.
The bedroom is all but a 5* level: extremely small, old bathroom of relative cleanliness. The sound insulation is non-existent so you share the life of the other clients, including showers, toilets flushing... And the hotel is almost on the quay where there is a lot of traffic. As our room was on the first floor on the street, the traffic noise was very present.
I stayed in this hotel in May. I was happy with the services and quality of food offered. My wife joined me on this visit to Rome and I reserved a junior suite for our stay in October 2019. My recent stay was a big disappointment. The food served at breakfast was poor. Cooked food was prepared poorly. The attitude of some of the staff (a few at the reception desk) was not pleasant.
When my wife and I arrived with two large bags, there was no porter to help at the entrance. After check-in, the receptionists did not offer to help with our bags. My wife and I (both at 72 years old) rolled our bags to the elevator and ran into a porter. He looked us and did not offer to help. After a few seconds, with hesitancy he said "can I help?". We were so disguised with his attitude that we did not take up his offer. Services provided in the junior suite we stayed were not consistent.
The Hotel Indigo® Rome - St. George is a luxury hotel located in Via Giulia right in the historic centre of Rome amidst galleries, boutiques and workshops. Our luxury hotel perfectly blends modern comforts with hints of our neighbourhood story, as the original travertine marble walls and the murals celebrating the area’s long history of artistic expression. At I Sofà Bar Restaurant & Roof Terrace, which moves at the top floor of the hotel during summer, our chef Filly Mossucca handpicks seasonal ingredients and crafts farm-to-fork Roman recipes. Relax in our Roman bath including large whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath at our wellness centre. Our outdoor event space suits 200, and we’re at walking distance from Pantheon, Vatican City, Castel Sant’Angelo, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori and the Spanish Steps.
