This experience was AWFUL. The staff only speaks Italian, making it impossible to do even the most basic communication (like get access to the wifi). I've never been to a place with such cold, rude and offensive service. No one smiled at anyone who walked in or out. There was no effort made by anyone to make sure guests had basic amenities (like wifi or water or an extra key or a luggage storage option) let alone effort to make anyone feel welcome. I had a terrible feeling when I walked into the building the night before, and the man behind the counter was just horrible. He doesn't speak any English whatsoever. He told me my reservation for 2 rooms wasn't there and that I only had one room. Then I showed him my email confirmation from my phone and then he just shook his head and begrudgingly continued to check me and my roommates in. He took us up a windy staircase in another building that crosses a courtyard with dying plants and trash slung all around. It felt super creepy. When we finally got into the room, he would only give us 1 key (between 3 people). The rooms were pretty bleak looking too and had bars around all the windows because the area is pretty sketchy. It was quite loud with all the noise from outside and that part of the neighborhood is covered in graffiti and I heard someone fighting on the street that night too. Trying to get the wifi was a nightmare! They didn't know what I was asking for and then just kept yelling "Christina" which turns out it's the wifi password, but I they didn't tell me the network (there were several) nor how to spell it (Kristina, Cristina, Christina??) or if there were capitalizations (there were) and expressed frustration towards me that I needed to use the wifi that late! The next morning was even worse. I left in tears because he was so rude + unprofessional. When I went to take pictures to report him, he got really upset and started to yell at me.
Breakfast (poor) Staff (one of them a woman)
We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was so friendly and involved. The room and the bathroom are large and very clean. The breakfast was good. The hotel is so close to the public transport stations which leads you exactly to the attractions. Anyways, the main attractions in Rome are not far from the hotel.
Clean quite rooms, nice staff .
Very dirty area around the hotel, limited breakfast .
The staff were friendly.
The elevator was not working all the 4 nights we were there. They didn’t put shampoo and clean towels in our rooms two times. Room was bot clean enough. It was a dirty neighborhood too.
