10.0 Excellent
Pros: Execelent service, good food, problem solvers, great facilities, one of the best hotels I've gone too in terms of service and commitment to the guest's experience. Will love to go back with my family. Very happy with our stay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is our 3rd trip to the Fairmont. Wonderful hotel and staff. The beaches are pristine. Love the smallness of this hotel. Location is great with many wonderful restaurants nearby. Already thinking when we will return!
Cons: The A/C could have been colder.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Room overlooking beach. Food. Pool. Staff. Concierge. Late check out.
Cons: Early check in process.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful and the rooms are fantastic. It was clean and the staff was helpful. It was a wonderful stay and we felt it was heavenly staying so close to the ocean, falling asleep to the sound of the waves.
Cons: There were some things missing for us to have that real sense of luxury. In example the sports channel always being on in the beach bar next to the pool where it took over the whole space. There is no spa available. The Afternoon Tea could have been set up in a more flattering location.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good. It's a shame that Room Service breakfasts weren't an option in the price. The beach is fabulous. Could be made even more luxurious and have better waiter/waitress service.Put everyone in a turquoise uniform.
Cons: Just feel that the staff lacked identity. A bright, smart uniform would really distinguish them and elevate their position. All charming and nice, but need to stand out. Main restaurant was closed during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Admin before arrival proved tricky. Mix up with booking and payment led to excessive number of emails between vendor and hotel and myself.
4.0 Okay
Pros: the rooms were nice, the overall facility was above the average on the island. the staff at the front desk was very accommodating. the beach was very nice and the beach chairs were very pleasant and availibility was good.
Cons: The food was underwhelming at best. The staff at the bar/ grill and the restaurants were slow and not attentive. we had to walk away from one table in order to get our bill. the price did not remotely reflect the product presented.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very good...near nice beaches. The staff in general is very nice, there is a few that are very grumpy though..but just ignore them as they do you..
Cons: Wi fi charges at 10 USD per day is a bit absurd..its 2020!! Even 1 star B&B's has FREE wi fi. At least I had a voucher with my reservation, but for other travelers..its worth mentioning it.
7.1 Good
Cons: You have to pay for internet. Nees more options for food after 10pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food... just amazing choices and quality!.. Enids is such a beautiful restaurant with excellent food!
Cons: Only stayed 3 nights.... given the location, food and things to do... at least week stay would be best!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s a semi modern property in an exclusive area of great beaches, shopping, with good medical, police, and other necessary services within a very short walk. The food is especially good for an all inclusive and the service and staff are great. This isn’t appropriate for someone looking for a luxury resort, but if you don’t need fancy it’s a very quaint and nice place.
Cons: The location is key.
7.0 Good
Pros: Food was good. Good quality furnishings. Rooms were a good size. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of staff.
Cons: No beach to speak of. Too crowded. Rather overpriced. Poor quality red house wine. Rough seas for four days and not sure how unusual this is as the previous week had two and a half days of red flag.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was awsome and location was great staff wer really friendly and helpfull.Beautifull at night with the pool lights and the almond and banana trees wer nice
Cons: paying for wifi

Pros: Spacious new accommodation and very well equipped just a stones throw from the beach and two first-class restaurants. Owner was very hands-on and the invitation to his home for cocktails on the Thursday evening was a lovely touch.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. It was new and had excellent facilities. We looked over the pool which was very nice. The restaurant served very good food and the staff were most helpful
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had booked a one bedroom villa and it was very spacious and comfortable. All is new and modern design. Location is good, close to Payne’s Bay beach. Unfortunately you had to cross a very trafficked road to get to the beach, but that’s doable. Otherwise two great pools on the estate.
Cons: The AC unit is next to the bed, blowing air directly on you at night. Tried to adjust the “ swing” but to no avail. Ended up opening some bedroom windows which was fine. Bed not comfortable. A top mattress would probably be a good idea.....
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, just across the road from Paynes Beach great for swimming. Not far from the supermarket in Holetown or Jordans. Chairs and parasols available to take to the beach. Security good and parking is free and secure. Nice pools, gardens and plenty of loungers. Bus stops outside if required. Spacious rooms air conditioning and ceiling fans. Good kitchen. Helpful and pleasant staff, I had a Air con problem and Mark got it fixed very promptly even though it was not straightforward.
Cons: Nothing I can think of, highly recommended.

Pros: The villa
Cons: Not beach front

Pros: Great hotel and location , The staff are very attentive and nothing is to much trouble. The location really is one of the best spots on the island. Lots and lots of returning guests and I think this demonstrates very well what a wonderful family owned hotel this is.
Cons: The Rooms are very clean and tidy although a little tired, Not having a TV was also a bit of a disadvantage if only to catch the news in the morning. Internet service was slightly patchy but ok for small island service.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked how friendly staff was! I arrived 3 hours later than I was supposed to, 2 in the morning and I was still greeted with a warm welcome! Housekeeping was efficient each day. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the beds were warm and soft. The living room had a comfy couch and and kitchenette. It felt like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend!
Cons: I wish that we would have been able to use more than two devices on the internet connection. I could only connect my phone and my boyfriend's phone... wasn't able to add my laptop.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good location and basic layout of apartment but very poor/ non-existent equipment. Also, no reception on site - it was 5 min walk away which was a nuisance every time you needed to contact them. Very intermittent maid service. Needed to pay for Wi-Fi and use of safe by the day. Seems out of touch with most hotels these days !!
Cons: See above
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Simply furnished, clean and comfortable apartment in an excellent location within easy walking distance of Holetown beach, Massey's supermarket and buses to Bridgetown and Speightstown.
Cons: We didn't like the fact that our original booking for a Traveller's Palm apartment had been cancelled due to overbooking and we were given the option of an apartment at the linked Halcyon Palm. It was a bit inconvenient that the reception is at Traveller's Palm, but, if you don't have a car, the Halcyon Palm apartments are better situated.
5.8 Okay
Pros: If you’re on a budget and don’t mind taking a drive or walk (there is a beach you can walk to )to the beaches this place isn’t bad and it’s in a nice quiet residential area .
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable, The thinnest of sheets was provided for covering yourself ,which basically meant you either slept with the A/C unit off or froze . The A/C unit I might add had no remote to adjust the temperature and the pillows were too flat which resulted in some neck pain but that lasted a few days . Also when I viewed pictures of the property online there are a couple or maybe one pool picture/s which makes it seems as if the beach is within view from the pool area , this ISNT so .
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The kitchen contained nothing not even a grain of salt. The facilites in it were poor or inadequate.
7.5 Good
Pros: It felt like home away from home.
Cons: The bar was not opened and too far away.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The Receptionist the following morning in the office at the Traveller's Palm was very helpful
Cons: When we arrived in Barbados after a 9 hour flight,it of course was dark, about 8pm Barbados time. the taxi driver arrived at the Halcyon Palm apartments. There was no Reception office, but a sign on the gatepost stating to pick up keys next door at Traveller's Palm. That place was in fact round into the next road, left at the end, then about 50 yard on it was there! A small office where a person gave us the key. The apartment consisted of kitchen bathroom & bedroom. Sheets & towels were clean but the settee looked grubby . Next morning we went to the Traveller's Palm proper Reception where they were very nice.It was expensive for 1 night..
5.4 Okay
Pros: The sheets are clean. Location is good. Staff is nice.
Cons: Phone doesn't work, not for local calls, the front desk or even to call emergency numbers. Check in took a hour and they don't take credit cards. Oh also no hot water, at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love every thing the ac the pool

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bar on the beach / by the pool was superb! A fabulous meeting place for everyone attracted by happy hour...I made many friends! The pool was gorgeous as was the beach. My room was huge, far bigger than I expected.
Cons: OK as a lot of people have said the hotel is a little 'tired'. This really was not a four star hotel although you pay four star prices! That said though, I would go back! It had a charm all of it's own.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The stay thru Star Clippers had breakfast included our reso after the cruise did not. Over $30 for a buffet breakfast is stiff .a la carte not better.
Cons: See above

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Property was gorgeous. Room fabulous with beautiful balconies and views; room and bath very comfortable and well appointed. Staff very accommodating at front desk and concierge. Beautiful beach, pools and gardens.
Cons: Could had used 2 extra pillows. Housekeeping after 1st night not great. Left dirty dishes from room service in room, sink and on balcony. Room service breakfast adequate but not very good.
7.0 Good
Pros: The restaurant by the beach and the beach facilities
Cons: The live music in the evenings was just too loud, very intrusive even with balcony windows closed it was too much. Not many seemed to be enjoying it yet it. Also strange variance in the staff, some lovely and friendly but one notable exception was the barman who was very aggressive and confrontational.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast ok but expensive. Thought they should provide it for the price
Cons: Location a bit isolated
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, in between Oistins and St Lawrence Gap. This hotel has the best staff and a very happy happy hour
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beachfront, nicely laid out, comfy, clean.
Cons: It does not protect the guests from taxi overcharging - the only country I've been to (and I've been to many) where taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is cheaper than from the hotel to the airport!! Taxi overall is expensive, and there are no cheaper alternatives for families. Ocean waves were all the time too choppy to swim. Hotel could use renovation.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room are large and clean, nice pool area and great beach
Cons: The staff was not so friendly. At checking the room was free from 5AM when we arrived (confirmed by the duty Manager), we received the room only at 12PM probably because they were trying to make us pay additional day for early check in. Also despite of the high price of the breakfast, we were requiring additional price to take the coffee with us from breakfast to the beach
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and efficient. Superb location. Excellent food.
Cons: No lift
8.8 Excellent
Cons: There are no elevators so those on higher floors had some exercise before reaching up. This would be difficult for elderly and physically challenged people

4.2 Okay
Pros: Location and the lady on reception, she was wonderful
Cons: Hotel rooms could do with a deep clean and also an upgrade. Breakfast was terrible, 2 staff sat in the restaurant having a call on speaker. Disappointed. Have stayed a few times before and also put up some of my staff there, however not again
8.0 Excellent
Pros: staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: needed more choice on the menu at the restaurant.
6.0 Good
Cons: Most staff were not friendly at all, they hardly spoke and the young girl in the restaurant (pool cafe) was very slow and rude. However Spa lady was lovely!
7.1 Good
Pros: Cheap, in St Lawrence Gap, walking distance to restaurants and beaches. Staff was very friendly
Cons: pool was small compared to pictures, Beach chairs could do with some cleaning. No night time activities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Access to many beaches, store down the street, range refrigerator microwave coffee pot. Fully equipped to make food and enough room for 2.
Cons: The prepaid breakfast was not well explained and for someone on a special diet there were not many choices. It would be better to alacart you meal for those reasons. As breakfast was our only scheduled meal at the property a very large group was there with buffet and it was confusing. We do not feel they staffed the restaurant adequately for this reason.
5.0 Okay
Pros: They did not provide coffee in the room. There were no washcloths, very minimal towels. It was advertised as seaside view so we didnt mind paying a little more, when we got there it was a garden view and the room needed much updating.
Cons: It was right near the ocean, staff was friendly, restaurant was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location right on the beach! Really nice swimming pool and very close walking distance to St Lawrence gap with lots of restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean.
Cons: The only caveat I have is the quality of breakfast and food generally. Food was expensive for the quality and not good quality neither well cooked.
7.0 Good
Cons: Bathroom was very dated

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Bed was big and comfortable. Room was spacious.
Cons: No water pressure or hot water in bathroom. Staff tried to say it was a water company issue, however there was good water pressure in the kitchen. Staff did not have the information that breakfast was included. Had to get them a copy of my reservation email.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: We were put in a beach front room upon arrival and it was filthy and run down. The curtains had holes in them the floor was stained there was hair on the bathroom floor .
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff excellent, especially Heather. Good setting and very nice beach. Rooms comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Our room overlooked the car park and road. Just a little noise from the road early evening. Would go for a room overlooking the pool next time.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was extremely comfortable
Cons: No microwave. Shower door could not be kept closed, all of the water was coming out on the bathroom floor. Telephone in the room not working. The door was squeaking every time opened. The kitchen garbage receptacle under the stove was too tall.
6.0 Good
Pros: Lunch and dinner at the Pure Ocean Restaurant were good.
Cons: Breakfast did not meet my expectations.
6.0 Good
Pros: The people who work there are friendly and helpful. The many return guests add to the “family” feeling which makes you want to come back. Free internet and a lovely beach. I enjoyed the beach restaurant and the happy hour was not to be missed.
Cons: Although the room was recently upgraded there were several poorly designed features, bathroom taps that were not out far enough to get your hands under, a fridge with the wrong swing door so you couldn’t reach inside. Awful chairs for deck uncomfor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else...The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful. The room was excellent it has in everything you would need for a relaxing stay.
Cons: My tv didn't have a tv guide so it was hard to choose something to watch. But otherwise there was nothing to dislike
7.0 Good
Cons: Very little water pressure in the shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly atmosphere. The food. The manager's appreciation event.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: None at all.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. We were served drinks upon checking in and the lobby staff served us drinks or water each day. The resort was conveniently located in walking distance to St, Lawrence Gap, a strip of bars, restaurants and lounges. There was also a convenience store on the walk to the Gap so you don't have to go all the way to the supermarket for small items. The rooms were nice and as pictured. The cleaning staff were thorough.
Cons: The mattress for the pull out couch was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I literally felt every single spring in that mattress. I left my vacation with back pain. The kitchen was stocked with glassware, plate and silverware but it was annoying that there were no paper towels to dry our hands and no sponge to clean the dishes ourselves. Also, it would have been nice if the pavilion by the pool was actually functioning. It looked like is used to be a bar/restaurant but it was not in use. We were able to sit at the tables under the pavilion but I was hoping for more activity and entertainment near the pool area. On the last day the power went out in some areas of the island and the hotel waited until it got dark on Monday evening to start handing out small candle lights and plug in a mobile generator for a light in the lobby. A resort of this size should definitely have a back up generator for situations like this. The resort would not even compensate us for the 1 day we were without power or hot water.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, with a great beach and plenty of restaurants, bars, music a short stroll away down St Lawrence Gap. I think this was my 3rd or 4th stay and the staff were great, especially Heather at the Front Desk who is very resourceful and a problem solver, Jaden at the Front Desk, Margaret the Operator, Kevin Cadogan at Pure Ocean and Denise, who cleaned the room.
Cons: Unfortunately I was unable to phone the front desk or access the internet for most of my stay. I think there should be an a la carte option at breakfast for those who don’t like big breakfasts or buffets where food is cold. Buildings near the beach could use some sprucing up and fresh paint.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Butterfly Beach hotel has a lovely island vibe. Located on a lovely stretch of beach with gentle surf. Very relaxed and friendly staff, recently renovated rooms and balcony with a sea view. Has a nice size pool. The kitchenette is a nice feature if you want to do your own breakfast and lunch. There is a grocery store down the street.
Cons: Not in a fancy neighborhood, but we felt safe and secure.
6.3 Good
Pros: Right on the beach
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was fantastic
Cons: The food choices
6.0 Good
Pros: Great southern beach location, two pools very nice. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet, location is near Oistins fish market. Watching the incoming planes overhead, close enough to see, but far enough to not make too much noise was a pleasure. Grilled marlin catch of the day was fantastic, and with a great garlic butter. On-site gift shop is extremely well curated. Room was spacious, bed was large and great, A/C very comfortable, kitchen facilities very good.
Cons: Geriatric British retirement home feel. Beach access is locked at 6pm. We arrived at 6:05pm for a sunset swim in the ocean, and there was no way whatsoever to get to the ocean - extremely disappointing! Room billed as ocean view was facing the general direction of where the ocean should be, but the view was of the bar and restaurant/grounds not of the ocean at all. In-room coffee was the absolute worst we've ever seen - Nescafe instant powder, with a non-dairy creamer that curdled and would not mix in to coffee at all.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpfulness of staff, on a local bus route, room size and cleanliness of hotel.
Cons: Knit picking- No where to walk to, locally, in the evening.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Place put luggage before check in
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice location just at the beach. You have your own kitchen.
Cons: Breakfast is not worth the money(12US$) Restaurant is a bit pricey compared to the quality of the food. The shower temperature hard to regulate. Booked a room with pool view, we had to lean out over the balcony to see the pool. Instead we had a view of a dusty parking lot and the main road.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to the beach is optimal, the service staff is amazing and breakfast is lovely. The ocean view studio is very cute and comes with a stove, plates and cutlery if one is interested in cooking for oneself. This was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: The pool is not the biggest, and after having stayed at Accra Beach Hotel it was just basic but this is not a deal killer. The beach that the hotel occupies is not the the calmest but this is the south coast of the island and that's what you get. The walls are a bit thin and some adjoining rooms might have guests that are sticklers for quiet and your noisy child might drive them crazy :) Other than those minor things, they're really no downsides to this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the ocean front, but centrally located
Cons: It is clear they work hard to keep the property in shape, but its age and wear are apparent.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel very near airport. Sadly I only stayed one night but will be back next year!

7.1 Good
Pros: Place is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
Cons: The wifi signal is very weak. The back building is like a dead zone they should really add in another wifi back there. There was a black out in the hotel for about 14 hours and we heard nothing from staff if we didn't ask. When I was leaving and asked they gave me a complimentary bottle of rum. I would've much preferred my money back for the night I paid for.
6.0 Good
Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. the restaurant was good and the pool was also very nice. location was also great right across the street from the beach and in lots going on in the gap
Cons: facilities were old and run down, my friends toilet was leaking and didn't get fixed for a couple days. very loud vent outside our room that was disturbing. housekeepers were exceptionally rude. a lot of other things i can tolerate considering what we paid but in the service industry its personality that counts. Unfortunately i would not go back to this hotel.

7.1 Good
Pros: I really enjoyed the size of the rooms and the fact that you can have 2 rooms communicating together. We were a family of 7 and it was perfect. The rooms and facilities were always clean and well maintained. There were some great events at the small bar of the hotel with great people teaching us about Barbados. Shawn from guest services was extremely great at booking us the right excursions. The location of the hotel and proximity of the beach was fantastic. We were very happy about the 'smaller' type of hotel/resort, with 3 pools and direct access to the beach. Finally we met some great people from multiple different countries and made some new friends.
Cons: It felt as though not all of the staff at the hotel is happy to be working in the service industry. When you choose a hotel you are looking for the best experience that will make you want to go back but not all of the staff felt as though this was their mission or values. From a cuisine perspective, both a la carte restaurant need better quality and better variety. Breakfast were great but dinner options were limited and not tasty. We ended eating out on multiple nights which makes a trip more expensive when you pay for all inclusive. There are some quite good restaurants on the island so hotels need to follow as well.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The adults area was lovely and relaxing. The rest of the staff were all really friendly and I liked the organised run. Rooms are beautiful, the beach is stunning and all in all a really well run, nicely renovated place to relax for a week. I really enjoyed my stay.
Cons: Most of the staff were lovely, just one woman was the talk of the pool with how rude she could be to people.... I dont think she should be front of house, and the restaurants being full when you want to book in can be a little annoying. Also live music till 11pm I thought was a little too late, if it finished a bit earlier it might help those in rooms around it have an earlier night if they want too.
5.4 Okay

Pros: The property was located on the coast and we spent a couple of hours walking to the left and right on a footpath and the beach. The breakfast was delicious. The property was needing a lick of paint but we would definitely return and found the owner has some great ideas and is growing crops elsewhere on the island too.
Cons: As I said above just needs a lick of paint.

Cons: Grumpy member of staff in restaurant in the afternoon.

Pros: Spacious new accommodation and very well equipped just a stones throw from the beach and two first-class restaurants. Owner was very hands-on and the invitation to his home for cocktails on the Thursday evening was a lovely touch.
Cons: Nothing
