Overview

A visit to historic, downtown San Diego is a lot of fun. Tourists can find out more about the history of the area and find some great food and shopping. It features a roof top pool, fitness center, business center, meeting spaces, complementary beer, wine, or coffee at check in, and Happy Hour tastings.

The rooms all feature Hyatt Grand beds, flat screen televisions, air conditioning and heating controls, hair dryer, robe, coffee maker, mini bar, iron, and in-room safe. The Rooftop by STK, STK Restaurant, and Meka Coffee Cart are all available to guests of the hotel.

I was highly disappointed with my stay. I was unaware that there was a parade next to the hotel the weekend I went, as well as the very loud noise from the bars below. Additionally, the hotel held events on the rooftop every day of the stay so I was unable to enjoy the rooftop. Pros (+) The Andaz is in the ideal location. By car it's a short drive to all the major San Diego attractions and you can walk to dozens of restaurants and bars. Hotel staff was excellent!

Pros (+) I love the hotel. Rooms were big & well appointed. There were lots of complimentary options like water, juice, Keurig coffee & tea varieties, wine after 5pm, expresso & treats in lobby, shower, bed, pillows.
Cons (-) Room service was terrible, my steak was super well done but lots of excellent restaurants near by.
