Liked location, but the rooms need to be updated. The whole atmosphere of the hotel gave u like a motel 6 experience, with not wanting to come back n book again.

Pros:Proximity to SAN airport is great, area near boats & marina & restaurants is pleasant.
Cons:The staff were very nice to call us a shuttle bc our flight left outside their normal shuttle times (7a to 5p, which is quite limiting)... but unfortunately they did not leave any word for us or at the desk for next-shift staff to know WHO they had called and what time they were arriving. The next-shift staff were quite slow in figuring it out while our shuttle arrived 30 MINUTES late, which to me is unacceptable. Next time we order our own ride or better yet, pay a little more & stay in a bigger hotel with a round-the-clock shuttle bus.

Pros:The location of this hotel is great. Close to all kinds of services and restaurants, both brand name and niche. All seemed to be in reasonable walking distance for a family group of 10 including kids (5-11 yrs). Seafood galore out the front door, brand name stores/restaurants two blocks out the back. The free airport/cruise shuttle is a great inclusion. It was part of the decision to stay here. Add an included breakfast and it became a no brainer. The breakfast had hot and cold selections. There was a lady dedicated to the breakfast area in the morning and she hustled to keep everything clean and well stocked. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool area also appeared clean and well maintained. We would stay here again.
Cons:The staff seemed stand off-ish on initial contact from both booking the airport shuttle to checking in. They became friendlier and very helpful as the trip advanced. We'd definitely stay here again.
