Hotel G is a boutique hotel that is situated in a vibrant area just outside of Union Square. A unique venue, Hotel G prides itself on providing guests with a one-of-a-kind experience that they are sure to remember. One of the ways they do this is to provide guests with a list of different activities and landmarks that traditional tourism websites overlook. These include The American Conservatory Theatre, The Ferry Building and Creatively Explored.

Patrons are invited to choose from either one of Hotel G's sleek and stylish guest rooms or in the modernly designed penthouse. All rooms, including the Good Queen room, The Greatest King and The Accessible Good Queen include high-thread-count sheets, high ceilings, contemporary furniture and beautiful views. Guest rooms offer separate entertaining and sleeping areas. Whereas; the penthouses offer private terraces, loft-style details and contemporary lighting.

Aside from being in a city that is full of delectable dishes, Hotel G has two on-site restaurants, Benjamin Cooper and The Ayala Restaurant. Benjamin Cooper is a cocktail and oyster bar that is open from 6 pm to 2 am on weekends, and from 5 pm to 2 am Monday to Friday. The Ayala Restaurant is a restaurant that is inspired by the delicious seafood dishes of the California Coast. Patrons are invited to take part in the martini and cocktail program that was developed in partnership with the chef team and local farmers.

The decor of the hotel is charming and full of personality. From the rooms to the restaurants, the halls to the landscaping visitors are sure to remember their stay and their time in San Francisco.

Pros:Good location, near restaurants and stores. Valet service was good. Friendly staff. Comfrtoable bed, clean room.
Cons:Valet service is a bit slow. And snacks in room were tempting to eat but were not free.

Pros:The staff was very professional and friendly.
Cons:Our room was very noisy - noises from rooms next to us and above us plus noises from the hallway. Our bathroom light was on a motion detector (no light switch), which didn't always work correctly, so we were either caught in the dark while showering, or unable to turn it (or the ceiling fan connected to it) off when not in use.

Pros:Location was very central - minutes from Union Square. Staff was very accommodating, very helpful and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Unique look in the rooms - loved the character of the place.
Cons:No hair dryer in bathroom (didn't matter to me but it may be a surprise if you're counting on having one). Wouldn't mind a few extra places to hang clothes, towels, etc.

Pros:Loved the boutique vibe that the hotel has, it seems SF is lacking modern hotels that are similar to the Ace and plentiful of tacky hotels. The decor is very minimal, with concrete floors- it feels similar to a loft you would want to live in. The restaurant downstairs had a really great brunch and the staff were very friendly. The actual location is pretty central, so it's not that difficult to leave the touristy area of Union Square.
Cons:There wasn't a mention of the $45 (plus tax) for the valet. So that got a bit expensive. You also have to call 30 minutes ahead. The shower is also a lukewarm temperature. And a bit difficult to work with it being stuck.
