The location the room very clean and quiet. We will be using this hotel again.
Don’t charge for everything extra. Gym, water, garage, etc.
Staff at reception. Layout of the lobby. Room layout. No mirror. small room.
Good hotel, terrible food
The location of the hotel is good for getting around
The walls are thin enough that we could hear our neighbours having sex, and hear exactly what they said to each other... The food was abismal, it was so bad that after one bite of our room service we got rid of it. We expected to be asked about the food, but unfortunately the staff didn’t seem to notice two full meals being essentially untouched.
very friendly, helpful staff. Great Union Square location
Valet parking and hotel entrance around the back of the building. Both the party we were meeting and us pulled up front to what looked like the front of the hotel, was nothing to indicate where to go. Some signage would be helpful. Great workout area but having to pay an additional $25 to use felt excessive.
Expensive valet parking...cheaper across the street but this wasn’t explained until check out and had to drive several blocks to get into the hotel valley due to one way streets spat that point we wouldn’t have wanted go through that again to get to the other garage.
Great clean hotel. Great location!!!
Very clean and walking distance to a lot.
Staff themselves professional and very helpful. Great location.
Huge line check in. Few staff, so took forever. Extra fee for fitness center. Housekeeping never came first day.
Ideal for business travel
I usually prefer to stay at the Nikko for it’s excellent health club, particularly the pool- hard to find in San Francisco. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are excellent too. I also like the Japanese food.
The neighborhood is not my favorite but it’s very convenient
Love the beds, sheets, pillows. Great amenities. Good shower, soft water.
They charge for use of the gym and if you arrive before 3pm they will charge you $30 for early check in.
Great hotel, perfect location
Location is perfect, with easy access to public transport, taxi/Uber/Lyft. Cleanliness. The best gym I've ever seen in a hotel. New and functional equipment.
That might be a bit noisy as the fire department likes to turn on the sound, and people like to sound the horn in San Francisco, but they do it everywhere and anytime.
Location, friendly staff
Thin walls, cold pool
The room on the 23rd floor that included breakfast.
Overall the staff could have been more customer friendly. The seating process for Thanksgiving dinner was very disorganized although we made reservations several days before. The Anzu staff had difficultly accommodating the number of diners. It was extremely noisy. Club Lounge should vary the appetizers instead of the same each night.
Got a corner room in the tower so the view of S.F. was spectacular. Room was small but very comfortable.
Address of the hotel is misleading to those who drive as there is no entrance at the address. Finding the car entrance took seven block detour.
Staff was immediately attentive to any need; bathroom was large, with a great shower and free-standing sink; room was quiet; view of S.F. was lovely.
Hotel initially lost Booking.com reservation but corrected this when I called to reserve confirmation three weeks ahead and faxed copy of booking.com confirmation. Initial problems with room (phone that didn't work, no blow dryer) very quickly corrected.
We stayed in an Imperial Club Room which was like a suite and means I would expect the comfort and luxury we got for the price we paid. My reviews are totally based on this and obviously if you stayed in a normal room you will have a different experience. Extra things are included when you pay for an Imperial Club Room. We also requested a quiet room if possible so were high up and had no issues with noise (this was based on previous reviews where people had issues with noise).
The shower could have been a bit more powerful but was okay.
Everyone was really helpful
Convenient location, easy access to transport and shopping areas
I was unable to check in until 15.00 hrs. even though I informed the hotel that I arrived after a 10-hour trip to Japan
I like the fact the beds are away from the busy hall.
the decor of the hotel; a little boring
Concierge Club not well serviced during the evening drinks
Great location, beautiful hotel, very comfortable and large rooms.
