Beautiful historic hotel with an awesome view of the bay. Quiet.
The staff was unfriendly and seems burdened to provide service. They were seen on their phones instead of tending to our table for breakfast/drinks/dinner. This is different from other hotels in Nicaragua I have recently visited.
Good towels. Good air conditioning. Comfortable areas for lounging. Complimentary water bottles daily. Quiet. Strong hair dryer. Great view. Walkable. Fluffy robes, even though they’re too thick for this climate.
Pool is tiny. When there are two children I the pool, there’s no comfortable space for anyone else. Our room wasn’t cleaned until almost noon even though I specifically requested at reception that it be cleaned while we went for a walk. There’s no desk chair. No convenient place to hang clothes on hangers.
Location and well maintained The bed and room were excellent.
Sangria was good!
The staff wasn’t friendly compared to all the other spots in Nicaragua. We really just slept there sat by the pool maybe once or twice. We had breakfast twice but last day switched it up because that was also just okay. Just expensive for Nicaragua and also other guest at the hotel had the same type of room for less and some paid more. Little weird prices were so different.
Our room was comfortable and had a beautiful view! Great location!
I thought the staff was very cold and uncaring. maybe because of the more corporate feel as opposed to a smaller family run hotel. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, and worked in a high-end hotels in the US and never once have heard of being charged for an early check in. We had breakfast included and took advantage of that the first morning, the breakfast was unedible! Scrambled eggs that looked like soup and practically raw bacon... When the waiter finally asked if it was okay, as I had not touched it, and I said no, could I please just have some fruit, he told me they didn't have any, which seems very hard to believe as there is fruit everywhere! We skipped breakfast the following days. As we where leaving we asked for a bottle of water, (as they had been included during our stay), they told us we had to pay for it now as we had checked out 30 minutes prior. Really??? How petty! We spent the most amount of money here than on any other hotel in Nicauragua, and granted it had a beautiful view and location, however it is the little things that make me want to spend extra money on a hotel! Unfortunately we will not return!
