NEVER BOOK WITH EXPEDIA- do it directly with hotel
After booking with Expedia, the hotel accidentally also charged me, but they charged me $20 less than the Expedia charge. Then the Expedia agent got the hotel to remove their charge, but obviously Expedia should have lowered their charge $20 because that was the actual nightly rate at the hotel. Expedia tried to tell me how great their service was, and that was why I was paying more. However, I booked the hotel on Expedia a couple hours before I checked into the hotel. I could have just as easily called the hotel directly, which is what I will do in the future. Then Expedia tried to cover it up by saying that it was a the hotel's charge was really just a deposit, but I have the physical receipt from the hotel that stated it was the nightly rate. Very disappointed that I was overcharged for no reason, I will never use Expedia again.
