Oyado Tamaki offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and a traditional garden with benches where guests can sit and relax in. I booked the Suiran room with my wife and 11-year-old son. The Suiran room comes with a personal open air bath tub and a separate bedroom with 2 beds. Hospitality is top notch and they tried their best to communicate with us in Bahasa Indonesia. Apparently, we are the first Indonesian visitor to come to their ryokan. Dinner and breakfast were excellent! The quality is very high and the portion is more than enough for us. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. The room was very clean, bright, and airy. It's a welcome respite from the crowds in Osaka and Tokyo. This was where we felt relaxed during our Japan trip. My son is a big fan of the Initial D series, so a few days from our trip to Oyado Tamaki, I emailed the ryokan to see if they can help us make a booking for a specific Initial D-themed taxi from Shibukawa station. They managed to do this and also provided an itinerary to the taxi driver. My son had a blast travelling from the station to the Ikaho Toy, Doll, and Car museum, and then to the top of Mt Haruna. Thank you Ogawa-san for all your help!
