1) The reception staff is unassuming, ״square״ and not flexible at all and do not try to listen to the customer requests! They tried to “convince” us about the availability of room we have ordered, and then tried to send us to a separate building which was a two-minute walk from the hotel. Finally we got a run-down room, with worn carpets, not clean with mold and stains in the shower. 2) We waited about 20 minutes for a taxi to the airport on exit, in line, in the heat, outside the lobby

Incredible staff. They welcomed me by name from exiting the taxi (probably took a quick look at bag tags) but the small touches were all over the well-trained staff. These people get hospitality!! Pool is great, tranquil and tropical despite location in the center of the Orchard district.
Room didn't have a great view given the awkward angle of the window placement. Very little natural light to an otherwise beautiful "standard" room. The hotel "bar" in the basement is a hooker lounge full-stop. We've all seen the upscale hotel bars with a few working girls here and there but this is on another level where as if an NYC swish bar met the Bangkok red light district... If you're just going for a casual drink with a lady friend or colleague who is not looking for this, it's going to be awkward.... hard to believe a global brand like Hyatt is so closely associated... (but you can believe it brings great biz to Hyatt so they turn the other way.
