The service is exceptional. We were upgraded to crystal club room, and had our dinner at the 9th floor itself instead of going to the lobby restaurant. Chef Judy went extra mile to make our experience better. She greeted us and ask how’s our day. She heard that I have a hoarse voice and offered me a pot of tea with honey and lemon in it. It really make me feel better as it soothe my throat. Good job! We will definitely come back.
the bed and sheets were noticeably luxurious relatively new hotel
On check in i was asked if i wanted to stayed in a brightly coloured room with a child play area! we had a slightly confrontational discussion and then i got the room i booked. The lift is an initially confusing mix of buttons and touch screen ,confusing if youve just got off a long haul flight. We couldnt get the hotel app to work on my ipad so i went without there was lipstick on a hand towel from a previous occupant and hair on the basin from a previous occupant one bin in the bathroom only ...where do you put rubbish from the bedroom or tea coffee area?....a walk to the bedroom! WIFI didnt work and i had to take a call from an outside IT person to get it to work after a couple of visits to reception. The room lighting is annoyingly "techy" the fan comes on every time you enter the room and switching on and off a bedroom light means a trip to the room touch screen scrolling through pages etc. On check out i was asked to pay for 2 phone calls i didnt make and a sprite i didnt drink...another tech problem i guess. PS the GYM is small and with limited equipment and space ...the squeeze into a small area felt cheap and corner cutting sun loungers are placed in the pool to make the most of a small pool area $35 plus tax for breakfast seemed steep I wouldnt stay here again.
I love the check in service by the friendly staff. And i simply love the toiletries fragrance and it will be great if there is a gift shop to sell the products.
There is no hook to hang the wet bath towel or bathrobes in bathroom in junior suite.
The room had a decent size and having a bathtub in the room is definitely lovely. Great location with lots of places to shop and eat at in walking distance.
The room smelled intensely of mould and the floor was incredibly dirty. The bathroom floor had a layer of dirt and stains (which were easily removable, I tried) and shortly after a shower my feet were dirty. The walls in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in ages and were layered with dust and grease. Lots of different variations of bodyhair on the floor that didn’t belong to me. Huge stains on the wall and the floor in the bedroom, thick layers of dust at the not so obvious places. Definitely not what I expected from a hotel in that category. The staff at the reception wasn’t unfriendly but didn’t once ask if I was enjoying my stay or how I was doing. Simply a little politeness comes a long way.
For the rest everything was perfect, great style, clean, well maintained, very comfortable stay, great breakfast with buffet and a la carte menu, and friendly staff.
The check-in process was too slow, 10+ minutes waiting for one receptionist who was busy explaining the hotel App and we don't know what else, until a second person came to check us in. Not all guests want to download an App when they arrive at a hotel and get explained all the connectivity features, some guests just want to get a key and go to their room.
