A massive let down
The location. Skipton is beautiful village in Yorkshire
Was expecting great things. Heard fantastic stories from a few years ago about the Woolly Sheep. Alas,it seems those days are long gone. The rooms are old and cramped. Our shower was held together by sellotape. We had our baby with us and they had us in a tiny tiny room. The staff weren’t so friendly and at one point a bit rude when we were feeding our baby in the restaurant. We only needed 15 mins,a high chair and a chair just to feed him,but the waiting staff were persistent on asking if we had a table booked,(which we had for an hour later )...but it wasn’t too busy, there was lots of free space but it felt as if they didn’t want us there and were moving us on. Anyways she when we did eat, they forgot part of the order completely. The food is average and expensive, plus with our steaks we had blue cheese sauce which was watery, bland and more buttery than cheesy. Very disappointed, won’t be back
