Very neat and clean. Courteous staff. Excellent house keeping staff
Very good breakfast Fantastic pool on the marriott side Nice shuttle service to the private beach
The rooms of the courtyard are, although very clean, a little tired, and would deserve for a re-lift
Very nicely presented hotel with great swimming pool suitable for all ages. The rooms were comfortable and clean. A very nice touch was the towel folding that they do (and do free lessons for!), the kids particularly like this! We had taken our helper from Hong Kong (very lucky us!) with us to help with the baby and toddler. Therefore we had the connecting rooms which was very useful. The gym is good with free weights (up to 14KG) and a few machines for legs and shoulders. There were 2 or 3 (possibly 4?!) treadmills, a couple of elliptical trainers and a couple of bikes and a small space in the centre to do a workout. All in all it was as advertised. The food at breakfast was great with lots of options and great coffee. We ate lunch at the poolside restaurant many days and it was great service and a very nice setting (next to a circular pool that goes around it!). The kids room facilities were very useful, there is a small ball pit, 3 circular chairs (with 2 playstations inside to play on), a bookshelf and table and chairs and 2 computers. It was not the best we have been to in terms of facilities but the staff were great and did lots of mini activities (like Origami and bracelet/mask making etc). There is also a table tennis table outside for older kids and a new bamboo hut area for the teens (we didn't use this and it only opened just before we left but it looked nice). I would definitely advise people to make use of the Big Bang on the beach at the Ayodya hotel across the road. It was happening every day and was a really fun experience for the kids in the evening (dancing to a DJ, nice food, beach etc). I would also advise trying out the Tropical restaurant next to the side entrance of the hotel. Finally, GoJek is an app that allows you to order take away at very good price and from lots of restaurants so you should download that for the 'nights in'... the hotel does have room service too but in case you wanted something different!
The kids club was lacking in FUN toys for little ones.. having two computers permanently screening Youtube and a separate room permanently screening movies is not the best set up. Enlarging the ball pit style play area into something bigger (eg filling the whole TV room) would make things a lot more fun. Plus the cleanliness of the ball pit didn't look great. The setup with our bedroom was frustrating - I had booked aking size bed for my wife and I and then expected the cot (for the baby) and the camp bed (for our 3 year old) to be in the same room. Our helper (think auntie/grandparent equivalent) was then supposed have the adjoining twin room. When we arrived they told us it would cost us an extra (significant) charge) to add a bed into the king size room so we ended up in the twin with a 3 year old in a standard double (twin), my wife and I in a standard double and the baby in her cot.. and our helper in the king size bed room on her own. We raised (and re-raised) the issue but got no response/followup from the hotel or offer of change / support. This was frustrating but worth knowing in case you have a similar situation (ie you're lucky enough to have a helper like us or an accompanying grandparent / aunty / uncle etc).
Breakfast is done properly here. Best meal of the day by far on their menus (both in room dining and restaurants). It's located in the resort area of Nusa Dua, if this is what you are after, the location is great and there are outside shops, restaurants and shopping near by for you. If you are looking for a more personal Bali experience you may want to look at different areas (nothing to do with the resort). The hotel has a relaxing spot in the resort beaches with shuttle service running every 15mins. The staff is very friendly and loved our young children.
Generally, the beaches in Nusa Dua are very dirty. You will be paying resort prices for your entire stay. The resort is located within a resort area so it's easy for them to set their own pricing on things. For reference, a small Bintang costs 65k IDR at the hotel vs 30k IDR in most other bars and restaurants. Expect to get sold, haggled and severely overcharged when booking day trips, taxi's, etc. Best to ask around at a few different places to get a sense of what things really costs in your area.
Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua Resort welcomes you to paradise with luxury amenities and award-winning service. We're ideally situated a short shuttle ride from the airport, allowing for stress-free travel. Intuitively designed accommodation boasts amenities like complimentary Wi-Fi access and a flat-screen TV, as well 24-hour room service, a marble bathroom and a private balcony with views out over the resort. Elsewhere, we invite you to enjoy a meal at one of our several dining outlets, which include an all-day restaurant, a poolside eatery and a convenient to-go deli. Stretch out in the Bali sunshine at our lagoon pool; little ones can have fun at the Kids Club or children's pool and lazy river. Indulge in a treatment at the resort spa, break a sweat in the gym or take the complimentary shuttle to our resort Beach Club, where the sand and surf of Nusa Dua Beach await. Consider hosting an event with us, too, in one of our indoor and outdoor venues.
