The mattress on the bed needed changing.
The location was a good stopping off point for me over a three day trip. The ambience of the pub was very nice. Fire lit. It was very busy, which could have posed a problem, but the noise of the pub was relatively isolated from the room when I stayed. Bar and restaurant staff who looked young to me were all excellent. Checking in was easy. Everyone well trained, great attitude and professional. Helpful and polite. All food was good
Single room was quite small and located next to the outer access to one set of bedrooms, and the stairs. As a solo traveller I felt a little accessible. Dinner was good but for two evenings I was sat at a table at the edge of the restaurant, almost in the open entrance area. As a single diner I was isolated and a little uncomfortable. I missed out on the ambience.
accomodation very good, nice restaurant, very good breakfast
breakfast not starting until 8am
The staff was friendly & helpful. It looked nice from the outside which was nice to drive up to & looked nice as you enter in.
Didn’t sleep well to outside noise, noice from the bedrooms next door & the heating system. The green light above the door was also distracting & the pillows were hard. We didn’t enjoy the breakfast either. I had eggs Benedict & it was sloppy.
Beautiful building Great food we had an evening meal and catered great for gluten free
