We were pretty disappointed with our stay at the Hardrock. I had been saving up for awhile to surprise my boyfriend with a trip for his 30th birthday. I paid extra for a “lake view” room and the only window in our room overlooked the parking lot. I contacted the concierge prior to arriving, and after 4 attempts, I was able to order a personalized birthday surprise for the room (champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.) When we arrived there was no note and the chocolate covered strawberries were completely melted even though I specified our arrival time. There was also no microwave or fridge in the room so we had to go out and buy a cooler for the food we bought at the local grocery store. Considering we came for a special occasion, I wasn’t all that impressed with the quality, especially for the price.
clean and comfortable
bathroom UNSAFE i called lobby but no answer must be busy barge locks from outside of bathroom what if you lock yourself in my mistake ROOM 477
View was nice. Location right at stateline was really nice. Easy to walk or ride to where we wanted to go.
Can easily tell this was an old hotel that was renovated. AC in room wouldn't get below 75* and when I asked to have a tech come and check it out, they never arrived. Called the front desk late after waiting for someone to come, I requested someone to fix while we were gone the next day. Said they couldn't put in a repair note for the next day. I would have to call in the morning. Were also fixing the parking lot and it was a mess. Would have liked to know when checking in where to park as not to get my car trashed.
Fun and classy
Great location, definitely a younger party atmosphere. Great music and cool modern decor.
the staff is really nice
I was disappointing since no microwave and no kettle
The atmosphere was nice.
It was an old hotel covered up with new stuff. Not impressed. It looked like they hired people to do a cover up job instead of actually renovating the place.
It was fun but the staff wouldn’t fix our problem
The casino was fun and the room had comfy beds. The restaurants were good, given they were hotel restaurants. The free parking garage also was helpful to keep snow off the car and reduce the overall trip cost.
The shower didn’t have hot water, luke warm at best, We brought it up to the staff but they were either busy or didn’t care. We ended up taking very fast showers and it didn’t help that it was already very cold outside. If they either fixed the problem or at least did something about it (reduce room rate or at least showed they were trying to do something) we would be much happier.
An talk older Gentleman with grey hair was out valet. My friend retrieved her car and I went to place my bags in the trunk. He offered to help, but I kindly said that I could manage. He rudely stated this is one of those things you tip. He did not even give me a chance to put my bags away and grab money to tip. He was so brazen and rude and jetted off.
Room service in the morning was completely cold and who ate cold eggs with hash browns? It was not worth the $45 for two breakfasts. Overall, the hotel was mediocre at best.
We liked how clean it was and the view was nice.
The beds were way too soft for my comfort but other than that everything was great :)
The Hard Rock has done a nice job of rejuvenating a space that was a dead zone at Stateline for a long time. It's become my favorite South Shore casino. Young, lively crowd, decent sportsbook, comfortable rooms.
Staff was great. Good location. Nice hotel. Would stay again.
1st room I was given wasn’t clean. Towels on floor and bed a mess. 2nd room was much better. Staff was great. Gym is very small and not much equipment
Basic hotel with nothing overly special to offer.
Cool decor Craft beer in casino
Limited room service, no available menu, you had to call to find out what was available. Restaurants did not offer what they advertised. We needed parking for a truck with a trailer which we were told was available but when we arrived the parking lot was loaded with concert parking and we had to park behind Mont Bleu Hotel across the street. 25$ facility fee for access to pool, gym, and WIFI.
