The building was great looking on the outside. Most of the staff were really friendly and helpful
Inside the building was a bit tired, and felt like they use the cheapest stuff they can get away with. Food and drinks were very overpriced
The good car park facilities, and the bar area was cosy.
Receptionist was very condescending, I am a senior citizen not familiar with all checkin routines, her attitude was not pleasant. Asked for a twin room when booking , was told by receptionist at checkin a double room was all that was available. No lift available to floor two, although they did say we could have help with our bags.I have had better breakfasts.
Staff were pleasant and beds comfy
Food was cold and medioka. Wasn't told we needed to book spa prior to arrival. Bar noted as 24hr. Should read as night porter service. You had to go and find him.
The property was clean and tidy.
It’s very dated. Felt like I was staying at an old people’s home. Staff are slow and lacklustre. The hotel feels old inside, bathrooms in need of a refurb and the bar area lacks any atmosphere. No water or tea making facilities in room. All in all very average and I would have expected a lot more from probably the main hotel in the town. Not sure I would come back.
